I haven't watched the vid yet, coz my work network is rubbish at present.

However, can I guess? I know you own an Oppo, and you're not Apple's biggest fan, so I'm gonna take a punt that the Oppo beats the iPhone? smile
No, it says that the iPhone is the better, but not by much.

Nope, they're pretty balanced - state that the 6+ is the better overall package, but they're both pretty good devices.

The fact that you, a rather Apple sided person, would say that a device half the price might actually beat it says a lot, doesn't it? wink

Nah, I thought it was a balanced review as well. I haven't gotten the chance to have a good play with the +, was deffo amazed that the reviewer put the sound/speaker quality in the same ballpark, as the speaker on my F7a is, imho, pretty amazing. Anybody here with a 6+ that can comment on speaker quality?

Has anyone who pre-ordered on the 12th and quoted 3-4weeks had their delivery brought forward?

I ordered on the first possible day about 15 minutes after people who have had their orders delivered and no news. Getting a bit bored of checking the order status daily to see no change. 😢

I'm genuinely NOT Apple sided! Look what I've posted above, I've been with Android from the beginning, although I do own various other bits of Apple kit.

No, I just like prodding you coz I always find you to err on the anti-apple side smile

To be fair though, you've been less militant of late, and it's a shame TheHeretic is gone - things were more fun (if somewhat predictable!) when the pair of you waded into a tech thread hehe

You're right though, it says a lot about Oppo that their phone can go head to head with Apple's latest and greatest, and come out looking good.

Oh, must've confused you with someone else.

Yes, I miss him, if you phrased your statement right you could always count on him for a rant biggrin.

As for Oppo, I'm a fan but I'll admit that they're more for the people who don't mind to install another mail app or maybe even a launcher and the like. On hardware and customer support, they can go toe to toe with the best out there, on software I much prefer vanilla android (Nexus 5, Moto G), though their alterations aren't as bad as Touchwiz.

Like I said, I'm eagerly awaiting for the new iphones going through my hands at one point.
I've had some issues with iOS 8 on the Air, holding it off on the 4S, but I imagine they'll fix it soon.

Nope, still waiting and no status change either, although quite happy to wait as I still have a lot of love for my M8.

My first EVER iPhone, I hope it lives up to the hype.

What does Apple do with all these phones people buy just to try out and then send back...? I don't think people should be allowed to return them if they are working perfectly.
It's Apple who handles them, they'll probably just repackage them and sell them on.
Here in Belgium you'd be in for a treat if you tried that, since we have no Apple stores, nearly everything goes through other retailers who aren't that lenient.

Hmm!? scratchchin

In which case, you are basically calling for the Distance Sales legislation (UK) to be either changed ... Or just changed for Apple?

hehe

Not an iphone 6 query as such but an iphone one in general.

My 16gb is full, my icloud storage is also full. i can't get anything else on the phone.

If i plug into a pc and back up that way will all my photos be saved to the pc?

is there then a way to remove them all from the phone but keep on the pc?

Basic stuff I know.

Quite happy to just drag & drop from the phone onto the desktop kinda thing but wondered if the iphone had a way of doing this via itunes or something specifically.

I was in a similar situation and my computer could see my iPhone as an external drive, so I copied the pictures off my phone and onto my computer. It was no harder than copying pictures off a USB stick.

Once that's done, delete them off the phone.

yes you should be able to:

If you have a mac, plug in your phone, open iphoto, sync/copy pictures over from phone into a new album, click 'delete from device' or whatever comes up after the photos have been saved to the computer. job done.

if you have windows, plug the iphone in, it should pop up on the iphone saying 'trust this computer' or something similar, say yes, then go: my computer> iphone> DCIM> then just copy and paste/ drag and drop the files where you want them to go. job done.

Photobucket's app automatically uploads my iphone photos when connected through wifi. It's so simple and unlike on a hardrive, they're available for ever.

Does the app keep them if you remove them from the phone?
