When we installed NTL on a wireless network at uni we had to install the supplied software on each PC.

PC 1 - Install software from ISP CD, Register PC as required.

PC 2 - Install software from ISP CD, Run it as far as you can. (On NTL it won't complete a full install as it has already been registered).

After that it should be working.

Fortunately Pipex don't require you to install dubious software on each client machine. I've always considered it one of their strengths.

Don't knock The Frog I used one for 3 years with no problems

Ah that reminds me. How is your ADSL account configured on the router? Even though it recognises the line speed it may not be set up correctly.

VPI 0
VCI 38
Framing VC (or similar)
Protocol PPPoA
IP address / DNS supplied by remote server

Username and password are the same as set for your Speedtouch dialup account.

This wouldnt be something silly like DNS not working would it?

How are you configuring the PCs for DNS?

Try accessing http://194.159.245.141/ which should work even if your DNS resolution isn't.

Cheers Jon.

I have spoken to Pipex, he went over some of the config settings. For some reason I haven't got half of the settings you have.

One thing that has happened though is that the Router suddenly told me I was connected to Pipex. So I obviously got that right, however, I still cannot access the internet through either pc, and now I'm just pissed off with it.

I had thought about it being a DNS issue but can't find ANYWHERE either on the PC on the Router config settings to tell it which DNS to use!
