It'll need the 32MB to hold a decent number of pics as its taking two at at time!
There is apparently a 64gb version... unfortunately it carries on with Nokia's policy of carrier exclusivity.

Nothing official, I would guess the same as the 920 when it was released with the 64gb £50 more? The press conference is ongoing so I would imagine the networks will release pricing later today.

I hate carrier exclusivity. I need it on 3 as they are the only network that offer true unlimited data and I seem to be averaging 7gb of data a month.

Wanting some more details on this - will it have the same ND filter as on the 808? Stereo audio recording - and just as importantly - microphone placement? And until I've seen independent examples ....

It'll be a good camera upgrade for most people, unless you happen to own an 808, in which case it'll be a sideways move smile

$79 for the camera grip with extra battery, not too bad.

Don't know about the ND filter but it says that the phone has stereo rich recording, I don't know whether that means 2 mics or not?

Also not really surprising, but the sensor is smaller than that of the 808 - 808 is 1/1.2", 1020 is 1/1.5" - which is a shame, but likely made up for with the improved BSI sensor.

It'll be interesting to see it reviewed; I have a feeling that it'll have a weaker flash than the 808.

have their technical white paper for the 1020, no mention of the ND filter. Which is a real, real shame. made a lot of use of that ....

Ah, I didn't pick up that the sensor was slightly smaller than the 808. Can you get a decent depth of field effect with your 808?

More interested in the upcoming Sony Honami if I'm honest. Bigger and probably better screen, better OS, similar camera, dedicated audio chippery, water resistant, likely to look a lot less Fisher Price as well.

This looks interesting but completely crippled by the choice of OS imo.

Water resistant is nice, but doubt it'll rival the imaging of either the 808 or 1020 - Sony have a history of not meeting expectations in the mobile cameras.

AS for fisher price, just look at a 1020 in black ....

I would disagree with that, the camera in my Z is fine, just suffers in low light slightly, but I'm sure the bigger sensor and Xenon flash on the Honami will improve things. Will admit I never got a chance to have a play with an 808, but the camera on my old Satio was stunning for a mobile phone camera.

But the thing is, this EOS will have a good camera but be fairly average at everything else, I suspect the Honami will be great at most things.

The camera in the Z isn't fine when compared to its peers though - its definitely flawed. Sony can make some cracking sensors, but something in their software implementation isn't quite right. But then you reckon the Satio was stunning - it wasn't, it was also massively flawed. Very grainy images, lousy flash implementation.

The 808 - and likely the 1020 - are in a completely different league.
