Steamdeck Refresh OLED!

I’m very tempted by one of these, what are the best games. Driving games or 1st person shooters?
There's a good bundle of driving games (from Steam) going on Fanatical now, games work out at £1.50 or less depending on how many you buy so you can 't go wrong:https://www.fanatical.com/en/pick-and-mix/build-yo...
I got mine, eventually, after a battle with Parcel Force.
I like it, but I also only have the Switch OLED to compare it to. It's definitely a more versatile console in my view, and the screen is just as good, which is to say excellent. Speakers are a little better, battery life better from what I can see from playing the same game (Hades).
Other than that, it's exactly as the reviews made it seem. It's bigger than I thought it would be, and is a little unwieldy in my small hands, but that's fine. No regrets, but I think the discounted LCD probably makes the more pragmatic purchase.

Damn it the dangers of too much rum while sat at the side of the pool !
Ordered the 512 because I don’t want the non reflective screen have it on my LCD but want to make the most of the oled and I play 99.9% in the dark.
Have a 1tb sdcard and combined it’s enough for me.

I’d say that’s not toooooo surprising tho right?
I get the same with my Switch, which is why I don’t recommend people try the OLED versions of the Switch and Steam Deck if they can’t really afford them.
In isolation, the LCD is fine and you’ll be more than happy with it, next to the OLED it’s not even close!

Mine is on it's way. Hoping to make it a bit of an emulation machine, especially console and arcade racing games. Any tips? I see emudeck/lutris/heroic mentioned a lot. Doesnt seem to be a one size fits all solution?
I did have my LCD running a load of emulators N64, SNES, Mame, Dreamcast, Gamecube etc etc but to be honest I have too many games unplayed in my Steam Lib and it's a bit of a faff....One thing I would recommend if you are going seriously down the emulation route is get yourself a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse it makes setting things up much easier.
I bought a Logitech keyboard also have the Steam Dock again much easier working on a monitor.
