That's more than a little bit over the top.
Good job nobody was asking you then.

The grammar may have not been good but at least it wasn't condescending and rude.
It wasn't just the grammar, it was the whole thing: Spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence construction and use of wrong words. It had the appearance of being written by a twelve year old (or fourteen in deference to the OP wink ) and was just sloppy. It takes less effort to write properly first time than it does to go back and correct it afterwards. It should require no more effort to write properly all of the time, even on forums, than it does for formal communications. It should be just "how it is", "what you do", naturally.

Finally, it wasn't condescending and rude, it was helpful and informative and had a polite request attached. If I had wanted to be rude I would have been.
The whole nobody was asking you thing is nonsensical in the extreme given this is a public forum.

I'm not willing to get into a drawn out argument about this but that's how it looks when you compare his writing to that of a 12 year old. I do agree the posts were badly written but that was far from polite.

I didn't take offense iv'e heard alot worse.
but tbh this is a forum not a university essay
i take the point that it should be good grammer all the time
but i dont see it that way, i no im capeable because im on first average at uni, but im really not to worried when it's on a forum
as long as its not illegible it's fine.
tbh this is off point im excited about what apple are going to do
and what new innovations there going to come up with

That this is a forum makes no difference to the fact that your writing is sloppy and lazy. It is not acceptable for you to just bang down any old stuff and then expect others to decipher it. THAT is what is bloody rude here, not me. Your attitude is just inconsiderate and downright rude.

"as long as its not illegible it's fine." ? OK, if that is what you think then it's pretty much NOT fine. Your writing is bad enough that it *is* borderline illegible, in as much as it takes two or three passes to actually read and make sense of it. And as for "on first average at uni", that is enough to make me weep. If you no [sic] you're capeble [sic] then you should be bloody well ashamed of yourself for writing like an illiterate teenager.

I'm looking forward to what Apple come out with too, although I'm not really in the market for a new laptop yet. Damn you Apple for making your computers perfectly usable beyond 2 years old. biggrin

Just to get this out the way, so we can get on with apple
i am capable it just takes me three time longer to do it right
because I'm dyslexic, so while i work and write fast it will come out bad
I'm sorry
just the way it is, I'm not a ungodly chav who hangs about the street intimidating old ladies, I'm a student who is working through summer to put myself through uni =]

so apple, really hope they give mac books dedicated graphics like the pros, so i can play cod4 at uni, and maybe bump up the higher model to a 2.5 GHz processor

If budget is a constraint then have you considered a MBP from the refurb store either just before or just after the new machines are launched? You'll get a new/as new machine at a knock down price that will still be good for 3 or four years and probably longer.

apple said they need to effect there margins, so basically they are going to make the machine better for cheaper so I'm going to wait and hope that they give the mac book an ali caseing and just ramp the RAM as high as it goes, and let the music production commence, and become one of the millions of bedroom bands woop -

I have been looking at the refurb site and I'm in two minds as to order a knocked down MBP or wait to see what the new kit is going to be like.

I will need a second laptop and my existing windows laptop is getting rather tired I will probably just order a MBP and use it as the second laptop if I like the new kit.

Firstly, don't do anything as new MB/MBP's will be out this side of Christmas. I would expect them in the first half of October.

Secondly, try to use the correct spelling and grammar when producing a post. One would imagine you are on some kind of placement, so try andto impress the management. I know that mine may not be perfect, but try to make an effort, please.

If you have the cash now, I would recommend a halfway house from ebay.

I have bought a few mac from ebay and sold them for pretty much what I bought them for.

IMHO both the MB and MBPs will get a big revamp over the coming few months. Secondly for most music production a G4 powerbook will suffice unless you are doing something really complex.

I would get something decent now and sell it when the new models come out and get one of them.

its a risky idea tbh cant afford to make a loss on the G4
there good machines though, most producers used G4's as a workhorse before the mbp came out, I'll just wait till new models come out that way when i go back to uni
and get back together with the band we can go straight into recording

p.s i want to run pro tools so i need screen real estate so i hope the mac book has a nice 15 inch screen =]
