Sony Xperia Z3 Compact - Your Thoughts . . .
Discussion
Black for me, I'm boring. Liking mine, feels a nicely made product, fast, good screen and sound vastly improved over my previous nexus 4. Even connects reliably to my BMW's Bluetooth which the nexus rarely did, neither does my wife's newer nexus 5. Battery life not as good as I'd hoped but again a vast improvement over the nexus.
Pink spot? No. Nothing like that.
Black one here for me.
AS to battery life. Last charged mine on Sunday evening, been working away all week, not charged it all week. Still got 46% charge. But then I don't have bluetooth, WIFI, GPRS and 4G running , I turn them on when I need. So this week I've probably been on WIFI for about 4 hours since sunday and been on the phone for about 30 mins total and maybe 50 texts, so I guess light use compared to most.

I've downloaded MX player, all seems good but my videos that I've recorded on the phone are playing qute dark, they are much darker than when playing directly through 'album' on the phone. Any ideas?
Just ignore that, I've now found the brightness control. As you were......For anyone wondering what I'm talking about, here's the details - http://www.phonearena.com/news/Xperia-Z3-and-Z3-Co...
Well i've just ordered my self a white Z3 Compact thru my business, along with the official desktop charger and a red and purple terrapin thin case linked to on previous pages.
Can't. Wait.
I suppose i'd better get a 64gb micro SD as well.
I just need to decide whether to keep with GiffGaff and order a 4g sim or switch to 3 for a 4g sim-only tariff.

It looks awesome but wondering how long for.
God, that looks great. The Sony and Samsung really do make the iPhone look incredibly bland. The Z3 Compact will probably be the phone that replaces my Z1 when the time comes. I feel like going back to a slightly smaller phone and that colour looks far less childish than the yellow and lime green iPhones. Also less cheap and I didn't get on with the two iPhones I had.
This is unless BlackBerry pulls out something with a better battery than the Z10 I had and priced alongside the Sonys!
I'm getting a good 1.5-2 days use (quite heavy user) out of mine, had 7 hrs SoT (Screen on time) it is impresive.
One thing.
Get a case, seriously. it's made of glass and you just know it'll crack if you drop it, a case would help, it's quite slippery too.
Apart from that, it's awesome.

Has anyone tried the remote play app for PS4?
I'm sure you've probably tried it already, but I gave it a go. It worked okay, although it did get a bit laggy every now and then. It seems the PS4 uploads the screen, which the phone downloads. I'm probably wrong, but seems a bizarre thing to do when the phone and PS4 are in the same roomtechguyone said:

The glass is delicate. Mine developed a crack across the back panel within a few days of getting it. Don't know whether that happened by me having it in a rear pocket or on one of the occasions when it slipped off the sofa arm onto the carpeted floor. One thing.

Anyways, I bought a silicon cover, not for strength but to stop the damn phone sliding of everything that had the slightest slope on it. Feels much, much nicer with the case on and stays where you put it now.

I'm sending back my 5s to get one of these? How easy is it to change from iOS to android? Is the is clunky? I have a google nexus 7 tablet and find it slow and clunky. Cheers
Pretty easy, you could use the Sony software or set your iPhone up to sync to Google then when you sign in on an Android device you'll download all your contacts etc.Piersman2 said:

There's a few threads on XDA developers discussing glass cracking on these. Often on new phones that hadn't been dropped or otherwise abused.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
