I wouldn't risk going at it with scissors!

I cut my micro sim to nano sim size with the template and scissors.
You basically just chop all the plastic off leaving the entire chip intact and it works perfectly well.

Moved from a 4S to a 6 128gb. My initial thoughts after a week of use:-

1) Battery life is so much better, I'd be charging my 4s by midday to avoid impending doom, now I think I could get away with not charging it at all all day. Huge benefit!
2) Much lighter even though it's bigger
3) Much much faster, processing, wifi, 4G, all round better performance.
4) The screen is a great size. Going back to my 4 now and the screen looks like a tiny joke, and the 4 feels so heavy.
5) Love the TouchID, it really works well with all the fingers I've programmed in.

Very happy with my purchase

After some deliberation, I've decided to get a Sony Z3 Compact instead of the iPhone 6. I hope I don't regret it!

That'll be the battery then.... £34.99
Not even £34.99, I replaced my 4S battery for £9.99 myself, it was very easy to do, if a bit fiddly. It also fixed the issues with the phone getting extremely hot and dropping 10-20% suddenly. Battery life is decent again. I can easily get a day with heavy use and a couple of days with light use; before, I had to charge it a couple of times a day.

Just picked up a 128GB iPhone 6 from the Apple store here in the UAE.

570 GBP. Nice saving over UK prices.

Do you have a link to the battery and the guide you used? I need to do this to my wife's 4s as it is doing exactly as you described.

It was fairly easy to do, just got to be very careful you don't drop the screws. They're so small that you probably would never find them again. Also, the screws holding the battery connector in place are slightly different sizes. Make sure you screw them back in the right order, otherwise the grounding clip will be loose.

I've just ordered a Nokia 605 on the bending aspect.
Only 9 people reported bent phones though? Anyway, independent testing has now been done.

Recommend keeping an eye on this, very few Apple stores showing stock at the moment but there are a couple.

Check just after midnight is your best bet, they seem to do a full restock then and just reserve one to collect later that day

An interesting update for those considering ditching their aging 5 for a 6 (as have I). The main reason i wanted an upgrade was because my battery was shot but it would've mean i massive monthly hike over my current deal. Then i saw the free battery replacement programme so checked my serial number - typically it wasn't covered... However I just randomly rechecked the number last week and it now says its covered! So, old phone, new battery, new IOS, and a down grade to a rolling contract = nothing upfront and £20 cheaper per month!!

This. Just after midnight most stores seem to have stock ready to pick up during the day. Bizarrely you have to pick an hour, but that just seems to be if you want an Apple person to set up your phone. I didn't.

I'm going by the thread on Mac rumours, which is the thread that all the news outlets are using as the basis of their 'shock horror' reports.

In that 50+ page thread only 9 people come forward with a bent phone they sat on.

So based on that thread, yeah, I'm going with 9.

Would it be more convincing if I added loads of ?!!?! For you?

While there may have been more than 9 occurrences, only 9 have been reported directly to Apple.

Thanks for that, seems I can have a new battery too!

I also opted to keep my 5 over a 6 Plus and change to Sim Only. Save 20 quid a month now..... 2 extra bottles of wine a month.
