I will be in the USA next week and may buy one there. What type of case did you buy? The Apple stores are only offering soft cases which should protect against dropping but I can't see how will save the phone from bending.
Make sure it's compatible with UK networks, can't remember if the US phones still have different bands to the UK ones, to fully use our networks.Digitalize said:

Average steps per day so far since mid sept is 6,000 which I thought was quite a lot considering I sit at a desk most of the day.
Tech is getting quite integrated with general life now. I quite like all this geeky stuff.
Imagine when the data gets into the hands of your life insurer Tech is getting quite integrated with general life now. I quite like all this geeky stuff.

Has anyone made use of the Health app yet? I opened it for the first time today to find its been recording since I got the phone!

I went for a pretty long walk this morning and there it is, 18,000 steps recorded and ado how many there were to each minute throughout the rest of the day.
It links up to a few apps including my fitness pal which is quite good. Think I'll try to start logging properly again so I can see just how lazy I am!

To give you something to go against, my job is not sat at a desk (warehouse supervisor) and my average is 16k steps a day.Average steps per day so far since mid sept is 6,000 which I thought was quite a lot considering I sit at a desk most of the day.

At work I usually do anywhere between 18-25k, but only doing around 5k per day at the weekend drops down the average

Is anyone else's iPhone 6 crashing while using Safari and displaying the following fault..
Happens pretty regularly while scrawling through pages on PH and also on Daily Mail and Telegraph web sites.
I don't have an iPhone 6, but my iPad 3 is doing that, so it looks like it may be an iOS problem rather than a phone issue.Happens pretty regularly while scrawling through pages on PH and also on Daily Mail and Telegraph web sites.

Thanks, just tried my old 5 which is running the latest ios8 and that is also crashing with same fault message. Also if I copy something in another app and then try and paste in Safari it does not work. Rather annoying. oobster said:
Yes I've had that message. I do a fair amount of browsing on my 6+ but I've only seen that error perhaps 4 or 5 times in the 2 weeks i've had the phone.
Thanks for letting us know as well, mine started off now and again but now happens pretty much every time I use Safari. Very annoying. Phonearena posted a comprehensive review, pitting the 6 plus vs the newly released Galaxy Note 4:

To start off, despite the improvements Samsung made with the Note 4 in terms of its exterior – this is the best-looking Note yet - it still can't compete with the iPhone 6 Plus when design is concerned. The iPhone 6 Plus also proved a better performer in synthetic benchmarks, especially when graphics were involved, though we've got to point out that we stumbled upon virtually no hiccups with the Note 4 anyway – and that's the important part. We were also happy to see Samsung finally deliver a Super AMOLED panel that not only competes with a well-calibrated IPS one, but actually beats it.

well it seems to be saying the 6+ wins in graphics processing and the Note wins in the screen... however i wouldn't know how to separate those two things personally.http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Samsung-Galaxy-N...

Easy. Imagine having two rigs
- Has an SLI setup of a couple of £350 graphics cards, hooked up to a £150 24" full HD monitor
- Is a rig with Intel HD4000 onboard graphics processor, hooked up to a £500 Dell Ultrasharp 2560 x 1440 res
2 will have a better display for all applications, but will struggle more with high-end games (especially because of the higher res).

i understand the concept already, however unless the phones were were side by side i'm not sure i'd see the difference. On the face of it the better screen sounds better, but it doesn't say how much better it was. My experience of android (i do have an android work phone, which I hate) is that it's jerky and unpolished by comparison. Clearly it's the hardware that determines it, so maybe that's a sweeping generalisation, but i'd struggle to see the point of an awesome screen if the over-riding experience was sluggish or jerky.
Side by side will always highlight the differences of course. Someone with a iP4 will also say there isn't much difference in display to the 6, but side by side there deffo is a difference. As for the article, it clearly states that there were no stuttering/jerky moments on the Note4.
Out of interest, what work phone do you have?

What's the best screen protector? Seem to have got a few small scratches on mine already
I like the screen knight ones as you apply wet, can move them around to align and then leave to dry. Slightly rubbery feel. The wife's had one on her 5 for over a year and I've just put one on my 6. eBay is your friend Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
