have you tried removing them from the app .. and then adding them again?

Edit to add .. and also when you reset all your power - have you defaulted the routers/wifi to 5GHz and the bulbs might need 2.4?

Tried removing one - couldn't find it to add it again so I'm thinking deleting more lights might not be so clever

My Wifi doesn't have 5GHz capability (oldish sky hub with only 2.4GHz)

I will admit tech can sometimes frustrate me but I normally get there in the end with the help of google but this issue I am getting nowhere biggrin

Are you adding via the alexa app.. Or via the ikea one?
I don't have ikea bulbs but if I try to add an IKEA bulb.. It tells me to download the ikea app and enable the skill. But if you're not using the ikea gateway then maybe you need to add as a generic zigbee.. Maybe try selecting "other" as the bulb type

Hmmm interesting - IKEA app needs to see a gateway so I don’t use that - I do select IKEA bulbs but I’ll try either zigbee or other and report back

So was no zigbee option for bulbs but good news is I am now making progress

For anyone who has same problem "device is unresponsive" for all IKEA bulbs being operated with out a gateway

The issue appears to be related to the first Echo unit we got - it seems it has assumed the role of the "master controller" and all requests for lighting are routed thro that unit even if you ask other Alexa units and are not in voice range of that unit

It seems whilst it was happily saying it was connected to the internet it had got it's knickers in a right twist - turning it off and on again didn't help so I did a complete reset and as a result 10 of the bulbs decided to be responsive

3 needed re-instating (one that I had deleted trying to find it again was found) and two new ones that I had bought to replace normal bulbs but wouldn't connect to Alexa (as in unable to discover)

Now I have 13 out of 19 bulbs working under Alexa control - 6 are proving troublesome but I think the answer with those 6 is to delete and start again - all in the same room group so shouldn't be too bad

Thanks for the advice and suggestions

Part of the real issue is the Ikea bulbs. There are several generations of Zigbee protocols, Ikea not only use an older one but also did their own variation of it so it's pot luck getting an Ikea bulbs working with a non-Ikea hub.

Absolutely.

I’ve got no use for it at all but the idea of setting routes for it to fly around my house and having it return to the dock, makes it amazing.

As you say utterly pointless and cool.

I can’t see how it can return to land in the dock tbh.

I think landing on the dock will be straightforward

.......but how does it open and close the doors?

All my home automation things already drive the missus mad but I think coming facing to face with a hovering camera which she goes for a piss in the middle of the night might end in divorce.
