Two-hour outage, which also affected its Fire TV Stick.
It went down between 7am and 9am. Thats why I didn't notice I was still in bed.

If you are Listening to music on YouTube on your phone and try to use another app at the same time the sound stops.
Recently found something out. I connected my phone to an Alexa Echo using bluetooth and started playing music from YouTube, everything fine as usual. Go to use another app and the music stopps, I just said "Alexa play" and it did and I could use any app while it was playing.

Is there a way to stop the intensely annoying "BBC Sounds" intro when I ask Alexa to play R4? I realise it is probably the BBC's fault but I could toe punt the unit every time it does it.
I feel your pain. "did you know you can ask BBC sounds to blah blah blah"... yeah whateverBaron Greenback said:

Has anyone got the echo show 15? I'm curious as to whether it's actually any good...
Not myself, but it did get updated a few months ago with FireTV software as well as the Echo Show stuff it had before. (Unless that was a USA update and the software update isn't on UK ones, they do that sometimes)Shnozz said:
I have dots everywhere but never invested in a show. What do people tend to use them for? I love my tech but just not sure what I’d use the screen for. Basically I am looking for some justification to buy one.
I mainly use it ad my alarm clock and radio. However, there had been an odd occasion where I have used it to video chat too. Road2Ruin said:

My sister's Show can show the picture from the doorbell camera....which is right outside the kitchen window where you can see anyone at the door if you're standing in front of the Show
Is anyone having any problem with older Echo's? I've got a first generation one that seems to be really slow to respond these days compared to newer ones we have elsewhere in the house. It's sitting right next to a wifi mesh node so shouldn't be having an connectivity issues.

I had to replace the batteries in my motion sensor recently, other than everything works.

Yes my dots are getting very laggy"Alexa - turn on the light"
Wait
Wait
Wait
"ALEXA you USELESS...............
Light comes on and a bleep from Alexa
Thank you.......
If my dots stop working I'm done with Echo. They were super convenient to power from a USB supply and are nice and unobtrusive whilst still being loud enough to be useful with reasonable quality.
I don't like the gimmicky new designs and they all need their own PSUs ... nope.
Suprised Amazon haven't jumped on board the AI bandwagon ... you'd think that with a capable front end like Echo and a huge backend of datacentres, they could get into the game and offer a more advanced AI assistant than Alexa, or at least boost her 'IQ' a bit.

I love the original dots purely because of the fact they can run from usb, I think it’s a real shame they did away with that.
I am getting quite frustrated with the music now though. Unfortunately Plex is not that reliable through Alexa, and the new shuffle mode that’s forced on us is dreadful.
