Samsung Galaxy S21

Sorry to spam the thread but PH is much handier than most support pages!
Has anyone successfully connected their S21 to their car for Android Auto via USB? Tried several cables and whilst it charges, it doesn't pick up the head unit at all. Seen various posts online about chrome update issues, using different cables etc but I've had no joy.

This has made me paranoid enough to double check my order and my bank account. Funds are marked as pending, and the item is sold by Amazon, so would appear legit.
I'm not convinced I'll be able to handle the size of the thing though. So when it arrives, if I don't get on with it, I'll offer it to a PH'er at the same price I paid
Hi, how did you got on with the phone? Thinking of selling? Thanks. I'm not convinced I'll be able to handle the size of the thing though. So when it arrives, if I don't get on with it, I'll offer it to a PH'er at the same price I paid

I've tried again with yet another cable and it now works. All the cables I've used have been used with Android Auto on previous phones (same car) and have been power/data transfer cables and not cheap random ones. Strange like. Might just be a bit fussier than my prior phones. Handy tip for folk, keep your top speakers clean. I'm fairly fussy and always have an air duster can around somewhere for PCs and a good amount of pocket fluff came out of mine when I gave it a blast

The only thing that annoys me is the the size, but I can live with it.
Nice big scratch on my wide angle lens luckily I can't seem to see it on the photos, but worth noting as clearly the scratch resistance isn't very good as I never keep anything in my pocket with my phone. I almost wonder if it's because of the official case, it covers the lenses which are then sunken down and they collect dust like mad. Not the end of the world but still pretty annoying on such an expensive device.

Must admit you always seem to be able to take better looking photos than I can with this phone!
Its called luck and deleting more shots than those I keep. I recon on the S21 U am deleting 70% of shots, its just so easy to get the phone out and snap something to see what kind of shot you can get in virtually any situation. I've currently got 650 photos in the recycle bin, given the 30 day auto deleting function is on, that's 20 shots per day every day, bare in mind I'm at work 8-6 most days, so am probably taking 100+ shots per day at weekends!!! When you are taking that many photos some of them are bound to be OK.......though I must stop using burst mode.
Am certainly getting my moneys worth out of the S21 U, its easily becoming the most used camera system I've ever owned .
The Camera versatility really helps though, x10 optical zoom (200mm+), and it some how managed to get focus on a spider web shooting directly into sun. Absolute 100% crop could obviously be better, and with focus peaking you can improve on the AF, but for something that fits in my pocket that I can access pretty much all the time, its fab!

Are you holding the phone with your feet?!
It's very easy to get cracking shots with the S21U, imo.
I didn't say I couldn't get good shots, just not as good as gangzooms. I'm not disappointed (apart from the newly found scratch on my ultrawide lens). It's very easy to get cracking shots with the S21U, imo.
As with gangzoom I do try and take multiple shots just maybe not as many. It's a good camera. I wasn't saying otherwise.
Has anyone damaged theirs yet? I noticed today the wide angle camera glass has a crack all the way across. It looks like something struck the very edge chipping it. I just wonder if it is intrinsically fragile or I have just been unlucky. I have never broken any part of a phone before this. I'll be getting a protector for the camera array after this is fixed.
After a number of months with the Fold 2, I've realised, as good as the screen is, I tend to use the outer screen more (which isn't so good..)
With our little one doing more and more, I've found I was missing shots with the camera, and the ones that were captured, I wasn't happy with. I had a Huawei P40 pro plus before this, and missed that camera a lot, it was just a shame about the lack of Google
After seeing reviews, the Ultra seems to better that, which is very impressive. After seeing Gangzoom's photos on here, I've decided to change! S21 Ultra in Phantom Silver arriving tomorrow hopefully.
