That's that done then, will let you know how I get on in 3-5 working days smile

Fantastic price when you think about it, the same price as the 10% off student discount.

The missus took a bit more convincing though hehe

Her: Its a bit expensive

Me: Buy cheap buy twice love, I could get a cheap laptop that lasts a year, running vista vomit and keep replacing it, or I could get something that will last, do you really want vista??

Her: No I hate vista, do you think it's a good idea?

Me: Do you expect a rational answer? YES! No to vista means either linux or mac, I dont have a scooby about linux, so that leaves macbook or imac, we dont have a desk for an imac so that leaves macbook.

Her: Go on then

Me: [delboy]you know it makes sense[/delboy]

hehe

Great stuff. I'm still struggling on an iBook G4.

Nearly time to upgrade methinks.

Went from an iBook G4 to a spanky new MacBook a few months ago. The difference in speed is stunning. Unfortunately, so's the difference in quality. The MacBook's already gone back for servicing frown

Took delivery this afternoon!

\im like a kid at christmas

^ need to watch that, the enter key is a little small and I keep hitting backslash.
The only thing that pissing me off just now is the fact that I keep going to the right hand side of the top of every window to shut it down rather than going to the mac, left hand side.

My wifi throws a wobbly every now and again too, now connecting to my wifi router for a while after closing the lid, or just after a restart.

But otherwise I'm loving it!

P.S. Why is the @ symbol above the number 2?!

I just got my MacBook back from the Apple store today too. It's soooo much quicker than my iBook that I've had to use instead for the past few weeks. smile

much easier:

cmd-w to close a tab and/or window (not usually the same thing as quitting the application)
cmd-q to quit an application
