I'm pay monthly too. Still no dice.

Coincidentally, I was just going through some mail and found an offer for Virgin Media customers; a Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus for £15.99 a month with 1100 any network mins & 3000 Virgin mins. I was looking for a 'Smart phone' anyway.... With O2 inconveniencing me in a big way today, and already paying £15.50 for just a 'Simplicity' deal with O2, I think I'll switch. I can ditch my crappy Nokia 6500 finally smile

Bugger - ive just made an appt at the genius bar to return my iphone.

Had no signal since lunchtime (nw london).

Called carphone warehouse and they told me to take it to the apple store. They were not aware of any problems.

Still down, mine was probably one of the first as I lost signal just before 1. Bit pants that the signal's been down for over 8 hours now, doesn't help that my phone is eating it's battery trying to repeatedly re-connect.

I have 2 IP4 phones here side by side on the table.

One is showing signal, and one is showing no service.

WTF???

So, what do we reckon is the cause?

My money's on a botched software upgrade, probably with an insufficiently well tested rollback plan.

It's definitely borked. My O2 work mobile has no signal at all.

However there have been a number of lightning strikes in the area (on top of a hill) which might account for it.

Is there anything in their T&C's that will allow us to cancel our contracts, like Orange did a few years ago when they changed details, for unreasonable down time?

It's customer, not location specific, which is odd. My friend's is down, mine is mostly fine.

Battery is being rinsed though which would suggest strange things afoot at the Circle K.
