The 'All New HTC One" (aka the M8)
Discussion
I've done a fair amount of roaming and the phone absolutely eats data unless you get on top of it.
Settings, accounts & sync, turn everything off. Including all the Google st. I'm on EE where I prepay for data and was getting through 100mb with seemingly very little active browsing / maps. There's a lot going on under the bonnet!
As above my mrs is on Vodafone and for 2 sheets a day can use her UK allowance, a good deal. You only have to text a shortcode to enable it.

Some interesting (some not interesting) apps here.

HTC One E8 is on the way, same phone, with a plastic case and a 13MP camera instead of the Duo camera. Hopefully it will be closer to Nexus money.

Glad I stuck with my M7, though tbh, I dont see the M8 as much of an upgrade from an M7 anyway. The screen may be bigger, but most of that is taken up by the on screen buttons.
I made the upgrade last week and although not a huge upgrade the screen is undoubtedly bigger and the whole thing is just a bit nicer. In some apps (YouTube when viewing horizontally for example) the soft buttons disappear maximising the screen use anyway.Mine's working just great, no issues to report. The replacement Spigen case hasn't resolved the funky touchscreen response issues but it doesn't do it in any other case so it must just be something to do with the Spigen and not the phone. It's not really an issue as the only time it's ever on charge now is when I'm asleep and I like the Spigen case too much to change from it for the time being.

No it's not. My wife has an M7 and whenever I use her phone, the difference in screen size is hugely noticeable.ManFromDelmonte said:

I can only comment on what I've seen / used. It just doesn't look much bigger to me..Actually I'll take that back - kind of. Whilst googling around the problem it appears there is more knowledge around since this issue was last raised. Apparently there is a residue on the lens cover left over from manufacturing. Several guides on the net with users using brasso or toothpaste on the end of a cotton bud to remove it. Problem solved.

After reading your post I decided I might as well have a crack at mine. I started with toothpaste and all it did was make the whole thing go hazy. st.So I switched to AutoGlym Glass Polish (well it is PH after all..) as I know it has a very mild cutting action. Some delicate cleaning later and it's definitely removed a 'layer' from the top of the lens - you can see some small remnants of it around the edges in my picture below. As that part of it isn't in any way important in taking pictures I decided to quite whilst I was ahead - the pictures look great again and the scratch has gone. I'm not sure the pictures from the Nexus 7 show it brilliantly but it's done a great job removing the scratch that was irking me and cleaned up the hazy mess left by the toothpaste. I would utterly recommend something designed to be used on glass and/or plastic rather than toothpaste.
Whether that 'layer' was in some way protective will remain to be seen, I'll post back if it now gets scratched to buggery!
