I'm a busy photographer. When out and about I wanted a device to view the pix.
But to do that involves too jumping thru too many hoops. I'd like to fit sd card in the & view immediately. I don't seem to be able to do this.
iTunes - don't get me sta.......... ( see bel....)
5mp camera - I threw away better 10 years ago.
Is it really Mono sound ? I can only see one speaker. The last mono record I remember was She Loves You by the Beatles in '62.
To turn volume 'Up' press the button 'Down' & vice ver.......
Hold the device in landscape mode & I keep accidentally hitting the switch.
Go to App Store & it seems I have to reset the parameters each time, it doesn't remember the previous parameters I set.
Apart from instant on and a good screen I see nothing else to recommend it over my 250 HP netbook complete with Photoshop.
I could go on but wont bo.....[ guess the rest as in the iTunes instructions below - doesn't even have Bubble Help ]

Qucik question for the techies out there...
If I click on a You tube clip it loads and plays almost immediately...as it should.
If I throw an iPad-to-HDMI lead from the iPad 2 (or 3) to my 1080p TV to show the clip to everyone in the Lounge I get Apple's "Connected To The TV" message on the iPad and it seems to take an age to buffer and display the clip on the Telly.
Anyone know why?

Mines gone in the bin, what a pile of cr*p.
Nice screen, "instant on" is good.
Apart from that, total garbage which is where it's gone.

Didn't look into the capabilities very well before parting with your cash, did you?
Bizarre.
I'd mark that down as bad judgement by you. Either that or you work for the opposition.
Did you not know it is a 5mp camera before you bought it? How can you complain after you've bought it, knowing this beforehand?

The videos you are viewing on the ipad, are you sure they are 1080p? Could be viewing regular videos on there but when you connect via HDMI it selects 1080p which takes longer to load? If I click on a You tube clip it loads and plays almost immediately...as it should.

Of course it has..... Cos that's what people do with £400-500 worth of kit...No, it's not literally gone in the bin I've given it to a family member who just wants an internet viewer and nowt else. I've replaced it with an HP Pavilion 11.6" screen at £350. Just got back from PC World with it.

I'm confused.
When I'm king, if you're not qualified in user interface design and you use the word "intuitive", a giant fist will emerge from the screen and biff you firmly on the nose.
It's one of those words that's more-or-less completely useless because it means such wildly different things to different people.

Received the Griffin survivor case for the iPad 2 and it fits the new iPad perfectly however it does give a grainy texture to the screen and the compartment flaps don't seem to want to stay open. I'm holding the mic flap open to dictate this post.
Also the stand is not as durable as the rest of the device and the screen adds a bit of friction when using a stylus. Otherwise seems like a good case if your worried about the iPad getting damaged from a drop.
Thanks for this, have one of the same on order. Also the stand is not as durable as the rest of the device and the screen adds a bit of friction when using a stylus. Otherwise seems like a good case if your worried about the iPad getting damaged from a drop.

A few places I've worked at recently have all HP equipment and they seem pretty decent to me.
I don't mind their Proper Computers - their OpenVMS Integrity stuff is fine.A few places I've worked at recently have all HP equipment and they seem pretty decent to me.
Anything they make that's designed to run Windows and to be sold retail, though, is unimitigated pish which merits nothing more than chucking in the nearest canal.

My company give us HP laptops which are better than most other stuff I've ever had elsewhere.A few places I've worked at recently have all HP equipment and they seem pretty decent to me.
We've had a few problems here and there, but mine have only been replaced because the company's decided to upgrade them, otherwise I'd still have the one I got when I started 5 years ago (I just bought one of those off the company for my daughter actually and she's very happy with it!).
In my experience HP laptops are at least as good as anything else.

PS At the risk of being branded a hater again, why do Apple fans stoop to accusing people who don't like Apple products of 'working for the opposition' - It's not the first time I've seen such an accusation levelled at anyone who questions Apple's divine properties, but you never hear anyone moaning about Windows being accused of being an Apple spy!

Had a FaceTime call on for the last 47 minutes and its cold however it is contained in a very thick case (plastic shell with built in screen protector and silicone cover over the bezel and back) and the room is 20.5c.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-211...
