Anyone got real world experience of the dual sim capabilities as yet?
Dual sim is not yet activated. An update will unlock that feature.
its in 12.1 which i assume isnt far off.

Still needs the networks on board though.
Just checked and yes it’s in ios12.1 but it brings up “scab a QR code from your network” or you can enter details manually.

If anyone is on the fence, Apple Watch 4 is a much bigger upgrade than X to XS. The screen size increase alone, as shown above, is awesome.
Have you noticed any improvement in the battery drain?

Decided to get an XS Max as an upgrade from my 8+. Was able to reserve one yesterday morning for same day pickup at Stratford Westfield. Would have preferred Space Grey but had to get silver. Really nice phone, loving the huge screen. Demand is there as people who had not reserved were being turned away

Hard to say empirically really because I had my S2 for over a year and I suppose the battery life might have diminished in that time. With the same kind of usage (including workouts) I would guess the battery on my S4 is about 15-20% higher at the end of the day than the S2 was?

Not a night and day difference, and given I charged mine every night I haven't really felt the benefit if that makes sense. I suppose I would get 2 days charge out of it vs 1 1/2 with the S2, with it getting close to running out by the time I went to bed.

The straight answer is we don’t know for sure. However it’s the 20 year Anniversay and the market expects not only a 2018 model but a ‘special’ model. Expect October announcement.

March 2017 was the last update and it’s currently behind its competitors.

This is true of all of the computer range. I am expecting (hoping) that next months event is focused on Macs and Ipads because I want a new MacBook

This shows just how much bigger the S4 screen is. It's surprising how much bigger it is without the form factor not really having changed much.

Top tip in iOS 12: hold the space bar down for an easily controllable cursor.
Any key actually. Nice one
That feature has been around for a while, I find that it doesn't actually work as well in iOS 12 as it did on iOS 11.

Anyone who has picked up at the store; are there Xr models on display?

Don’t want to make a decision until I have seen them both.

Work have just got me an iPhone 7 on Vodaphone...

If I bought an apple watch 4 cellular from Apple, would it connect to the phone and share the number? Or is that something a shop has to do?

Hoping for a good outcome so I can pretty much ditch the phone.

Vodafone don't support eSim yet, only EE. Apparently it's coming to Vodafone soon though (don't hold your breath)

I thought Vodafone was available (along with EE) for the Apple Watch 4 from launch?

Vodafone certainly do eSim as they had quite a problematic launch of Apple Watch according to news articles.

As for business contract and Apple Watch:

“One Vodafone customer said: "After speaking to Apple Support over the weekend it appears this has been a disastrous launch for Vodafone and the advisor at Apple joked I was just one of the hundreds of customers he had spoken to with exactly the same issue."

While some accounts have failed to link to the eSim, CCS's Woods said some customers might be experiencing issues due to trying to attach business phone contracts to their watch. Most corporate subscriptions don't allow upgrades in this way.”

All i’ll Say is Vodafone is the worst operator in the UK, in fact the worse plc. Why anyone would use them apart from price is baffling. Their corporate policies are designed to cheat as much cash from their ‘punters’ as possible. No morals, period.

We were told that the eSims are not 'business ready' and as such are not allowed on business accounts. Annoying.

Something to back up those accusations would make them at least worthy of consideration. Otherwise completely meaningless.
