Getting annoyed with my Hue ecosystem. twice in the past couple of weeks I have been woken in the early hours of the morning when all the lights turned on. Tried changing the Zigbee channel & it has done the same again. Anybody know what the fix is?

Thanks, I've managed to do it using Alexa
Excellent, does that give you scenes though or just control of the lights grouped together in the Amazon app? If that method does what you need fair enough but I'm not sure it's a scene the way l understand them
In Alexa I can say bedtime, it says good night, switches off the TV turns off the living room lights turns on the hall and bedroom lights to a warm colour at around 30/40% brightness.

So certainly possible to say warm house and it will turn your lights to a warm white at the levels you needed.

Sounds like a powercut to me. The behaviour of hue bulbs is that if you cut the power they will turn on when power is reapplied.
I've got a routine setup on my bridge that will turn them back on again but there's still a delay while the bridge reboots before they switch off again after a powercut.

Last time we had a bbq with the neighbours, we got talking about home automation technology such as Hue/Nest/Evohome/Alexa & the like. Pissed up at 3am some of the other guests were shouting through our letterbox trying to get the house to do stuff. rolleyes

I don't know if this is a misprice or not, but they seem cheap for outdoor Hue lights.

I saw these advertised at this price earlier in the month and took a punt on ordering them. Just fitted them in the garden this weekend and there was no change in the price so if you are after them I would definitely order them quick before they go back to the £275/335 prices we've seen recently.

I can group any lights that I want and set them up as a 'scene' then I tell Alexa to activate that scene, so it works well enough for what I need.

The product code would make them white and colour. I assume that WACA means white and colour ambience?
As you say, price elsewhere is around £270.

I'll hit the buy button if they're GU10's

I'd hazard a guess the bulbs aren't replaceable and they're a sealed unit.

They are indeed completely sealed units so you cannot see what type of connection they are. They do look very similar to the GU10s when you look down on the bulb though.

Don't know if this is the right place but....... smile

Can I get an a Echo Dot to control both Hue bulbs (through a bridge) and a TP Link smart plug?

Atm I have a group set up in Alexa Smart Home skills with 3 smart plugs and want to start adding Hue bulbs to it.

Yes. Just create it in the Alexa app. Create a new routine, here’s mine:
