anyone noticed that when you have a locked screen, you can swipe down from the top and put the phone into flight mode...my concern with this is that if you lose your phone, anyone can put it into flight mode, therefore you wont be able to remote lock or erase it!
Are there any settings that disable this?
Actually saying that, you could do that in all previous versions of Android too, just by holding the power button down a sec.Are there any settings that disable this?
The thing I miss most from KitKat, and this will sound petty, is the animation when you pressed the power button to lock the screen. They've changed it to just fade out in a really boring way, it used to look like some gadget from a sci fi film, or a really old TV depending on how old you are
I love it so far - it all looks so much slicker with Material Design and it seems to run a bit faster too.
'Smart Lock' is a great idea and saves so much time not having to enter your PIN under certain scenarios. Priority Notifications (now that they're working with Light Flow) are ace. Only thing I'm still not sure on is 'Adaptive Brightness' as I'm not sure where to set the slider when it's enabled? I've set it about 1/3 of max for the moment and it seems to work well? I think the idea is that you set it at a 'comfortable' level and then it will automatically brighten/dull according to ambient light - but I'm not sure how you've set it on the slider will effect what 'range' it will use?

Fair point, hadn't thought of that!! Just seems a bit strange, especially showing wifi/bluetooth, but you're right, a smart person would just put it into flight mode meaning remote wipe is not possible.Not sure how I feel about it!

Ha yes, I miss that too.Same here, I'd buy another too. Still excellent value, and it flies with Lollipop.
Obviously everybody has their own personal taste and likes/dislikes. My N5 is absolutely rocking on 5.0;
I just spent an hour over on the Google product support forums and from what I can read all the negative comments seem to be from people who don't look around the new UI to see how it works, or those who have apps from developers who didn't prepare their apps for 5.0 - despite the developer version being available for circa 5 months now.

Just got this on my 2012 Nexus 7. Slow doesn't begin to describe it... Back to factory image, methinks...
Same problem here. Seems to be about 0.5s delay between pressing and action starting.Waking from sleep is glacial.
