Hmmmm, seems like I might have to try one on that basis.

Banggood have them for about £50. Which colour temperature did you go for? I see Torchy has some 26650 batteries to suit as well.

Hmmmmm.

Well I must admit that's how I thought it worked, and then that post made me doubt myself. I haven't checked other than noting all my 18650's are 65 long.

To celebrate reaching 5000 posts and 100 months at roughly the same time I thought I would revisit my most long lasting thread.

As we plunge into autumn and torch friendly evenings I wondered if anyone was revving up with new toys to brighten the dark places?

I'm going to treat myself to something. As bright as possible, running AA, throw to flood.

I have a few of those but wondered if the torchifisi had any recommendations for something to satisfy my cravings.

Oh, and its nice to be paid to post from now on. Cant wait for the check!

Thanks - I'll have to go for the first one, as gearbest have a ' wont ship to the UK' on the second, which is odd as they've shipped batteries before...
That's annoying - and yes, GB have shipped batteries to me too - including those ones.

I got the same message.

I was feeling the itch for another new torch. I am a massive fan of the C8 so I have taken the opportunity to pick up an L6 using that code. Batteries as above too. For the for time I went for quicker delivery so hopefully it will still be dark in the woods when they arrive.

Hmm so I was just checking bang good seeing if any update on the astrolux MF02 thrower and noticed that they have refunded me and the price has gone up.

Well still sort of want one so joined budget light forum for a code to see how much that brings it down.

Then found the BLF GT

Hmmmmm I have no use for it, it's too big to carry.

Talk me out of it.

Well, my L6 is here and it's my first 26650 powered torch. My word its bright! So impressed again with Convoy equipment. It's a bit of a beast but it does what I wanted. It wins the torch wars walking the dogs in the evening!

Only irritation......being hit by DHL for a £17 surcharge. Grrrr.

I've ordered at least a dozen times from Gearbest and never had any import charges. I know it's a risk, but it's usually well and truly offset by the price difference. Did you pay extra for delivery? I never do and I'm wondering if some couriers differ.
I never usually pay extra for delivery but did this time for quick delivery because.......well.......torch!

I'm not really sure what I paid £17 for. I thought at first it was customs but there was no paperwork.

I will be dropping an email to all concerned but I have been too busy illuminating Chingford with my new torch.

Anyone know of a charger that will take button top 26650's?

My current charger takes my flat top 26650's but the buttons don#t make a connection. I got them from Battery Boy and I have sent him a mail asking for recommendations but not had a response yet.

5500mAh!

Great in my working again C8!

Oh blimey. Be rude not to get a new torch to celebrate the Royal Wedding.

And that is exactly what I shall be replying when I hear the words 'another bloody torch!'

I gave it a go... I really did!

I put it in my basket, went to the checkout... but just couldn't bring myself to spend £36 on a torch. A torch.
you must be strong. Those who backside are always forgiven and welcomed back to brightly lit fold.

I plunged through checkout with barely a glance and now have a little brown box bundle of joy arriving tomorrow.
