If anyone wants to make things slightly easier to get everything out of PB, click on your Library then on the right 'Download Album'. This will download just that album as a .zip and you can then upload all the pics (in one go) into something like Imgur. It'll be a bit of a pain but it's doable.

You can also download all images into one folder from PB but I'm guessing people have things in separate albums for different posts etc that they've made. Hope this helps.

I would have considered paying $39 per year but $399 for something imgur.com still does for free is ridiculous. Seem like Photobucket are intent on pricing themselves out of business. I've closed my Photobucket account.
The other bit that annoys me is that there has been, as far as I can see, no warning at all. Like everyone I've been getting regular emails offering an upgrade to a paid service, but don't (or didn't) need the extra features of it, so ignored them all. I can't see anywhere I've had an email that says "if you don't upgrade, after 28th June we'll stop 3rd party hosting".

Seems to be working for some accounts and not for others. Is it simply if you have exceeded your storage allowance that the 3rd party is blocked? I can't see any other rhyme or reason. I've only used about 8% of my free account storage limit and I can't find any forums where my photos don't appear - although others are missing in the same thread.

Mine still seems to be working. Thought I had loads on there but apparently it's only 22% full. Guess I'll leave it all as is but start using something else for future!

Seem to remember bailing on Photobucket a few years ago when they changed the copyright rules, or rather before the new rule was enacted. Wonder if you delete, will they still have a copy of yours?

I hope when people flood to another hosting provider like Flickr, Flickr does not become as slow to use as PB has been. I stopped using PB basically because it was slow as toss.

Hope PB crashes and burns now. Any amount of money for a hosting site that is that slow is a con.

It's a shame that Google Photos isn't any good for linking to photos on 3rd party sites, but I've tried and it doesn't seem to work. You can upload unlimited photos on there as long as they're under something like 15 megapixel.

A poster made a good point on page 2 though, makes you wonder what the future holds for people looking back in time, lots of broken links and useless pages, all that information gone. Digital seems like a great idea until you realise the rate of change renders the next big thing redundant within a decade.

I guess there's no substitute for having several local backups.

On my account, whilst I can click the anti-robot bit then the download button (you can tell from the flash that the button is being clicked); the download does not start!

No re-hashing of number plate pics for the time being then :-)

I've managed to get all my images off PB, time to switch to imagur as I'd prefer to use that over my flickr account for random pics. Flickr on the other hand is really good, I don't have pro but have got over 17k of low res images on there without troubling my storage 90% of them are png format.

No. It says "Please Update Your Account to Enable Third Party Hosting".

Strange. Says I have 10gb of storage too when the free accounts are 2gb. Definitely not paid for anything.
That's my old car!
It was a good one! Did 10+ trackdays and 70k road miles in it.

[can of worms]

This is a pet peeve of mine. Drivers wearing a helmet when the passenger doesn't have one. It's their safety you should consider over your own. Either you both have one and go for it, or neither wear one and take it easier. If you rolled over and your heads collided, your "safety" helmet would ironically probably be the cause of his death...
