I'm sure this topic was purposefully separated from frivolous purchases!

Yep, £296 for black just pinged on my camelcamelcamel tracker!

I'm holding on to see if they are discounted in the new year sales... taking the eurostar to the alps in Jan and will be travelling for work so think it's time to invest.

I have bose soundsport wired headphones (which amazingly I haven't lost yet), and even with the stayhear tips they don't isolate noise that well.

Just got the Sony WH-1000XM3 from John Lewis for £296.95 - they price matched Richer Sounds. Will also get 2 year warranty.

Friend of mine was raving about his XM3s, I'd love a pair but cannot bring myself to spend that sort of money on headphones.

Are there any noise cancelling headphones at under £100 that are worth having? Wireless would be nice too, but decent noise cancelling is the priority.

Had a trawl through Richer Sounds, Amazon etc this morning. Best option I've seen so far is a pair of Sennheiser HD4.50 headphones, at £100 from Amazon.

Unless any other conspicuous bargains appear, I think that's what the Xmas money and Amazon vouchers are getting spent on. smile

Remembered the name "Nuraphones" whilst browsing Amazon today.

£279 today only apparently.

Well, no sale discount so just bought Sony WH-1000XM3 from Amazon.

Quite looking forward to these, held off buying this sort of thing for a couple of years now.

I’ve got some of them, very pleased with them, noise cancelling on planes and trains is very good.

I know they are not the most up to date on the market - but at this price I think they are a bit of a steal:-

I unfortunately lost my previous pair on a recent holiday, and was expecting to be paying £250+ for replacement, so was very happy to see these discounted,

I just ordered a pair of custom in ear monitors. Having impressions taken Saturday and then should be 4-6 weeks turnaround. Hoping they sound as good as I hope as its not like I can sell them on...

£114 here use sale5 to get £5 off I presume if you used the iphone version with another music source it just wouldn't work with the volume/pause/play buttons. Contemplating for my other half but she would likely use them most with Android phone and an iPod classic.

CustomArt FIBAE black. Took advantage of the pre release price and the encouraging reviews. CA have been a pleasure to deal with so far.

Just waiting for the hiby r6 pro to be released and get everything delivered before i have to do a 3-4mth work stint in west africa!

Just seen these though. Don’t need them, don’t really like the looks, but they seem so well regarded that $200 might well be a steal.

Please update the thread once you get them. Interested to know how you get on, and how they compare to other IEMs you may have tried.

Same happens with the Bose ones too. If you turn the noise cancelling down to low then it won’t be quite so bad.

Anyone tried the b&o h9i head phones? I know b&o are normally dismissed but I have seen many positive reviews. I am working on the basis that we have already entered “stupidly priced” territory with the Sony’s so it makes little difference if I spend more. I like the look but want to make sure they have the performance to match.
I had them delivered yesterday and am very impressed. I have been using in ear headphones for 30 years so having the over ear design is new to me and I have no real frame of reference but I do feel the H9i are performing beyond my expectations. They are on sale right now in the US for $350 so if you are state side you can pick them up "cheap"

I bought some Bose QC10s. They were not usable on trains in sound cancelling mode. Sudden pressure changes confused them. However they were brilliant on planes. Sadly lost them some time ago.
