Yes will sort cabling when I re-organise the whole room - the whole setup will need to be moved so I haven’t bothered yet. There’s a flexible tidy extending to the full desk height so in theory it can be rigged without a cable in sight whether sitting or standing.
I've been impressed with this stuff - quick, easy & reusable - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B082TTSSGB/ref...Carbon Sasquatch said:

I actually don't like that stuff, always seem to raffle profusely.I do like the Ikea solution of just flex that is cut open. Very simple and clean.
Also I tend to have a roll of velcros handy instead of zip ties, much easier to redo if necessary.

You can have the best setup in the world but when you've had your broadband cut off for 3 months and counting now, it means Jack st. Sorry needed to vent.
There must be alternative options. I run my house quite happily off Vodafone LTE/4G a lot of the time. It’s no FTTP substitute but it’s cheap, very reliable and allows me to carry on working perfectly well when my other flakey fixed wireless provider goes down.I love it when my internet dies. I don’t have will power to avoid dicking around on the internet otherwise.
I'm running 2x 28 inch 4k montitors at the moment. I used to have a third but it felt a bit too NASA. Scaling up text is essential I also find.
Re cables I drill holes everywhere and sometimes even hoover up after

Which brand did you go for?
I’m looking at a Flexispot EZ1.
The desk is Herman Miller - I was impressed enough by the chair to pay the premium. It's a solid desk, dual motor, inlaid controls etc. 70kg of kit clamped to it hasn't affected the motion even slightly.I’m looking at a Flexispot EZ1.
Monitor arms are Ergotron LX and are literally solid aluminium - very highly recommended.

I'm not sure you can name and shame on here but its the opposite of minus.net.So what happened was I had to move. I moved on the 20th March (RIP Pubs), and even though I had already started the wheels in motion, I was told my BB would be switched on come 26th March, unfortunately for me the lockdown was on 23rd March. At that point, all new services were put on hold until June. I guess that's not really their fault...
I was given a date of 19 June, but when June came around, I feared there might be another lockdown so I asked them to move it forward, which they did, but then they've cocked that up as well and missed my later date too. However, as of this morning, it now seems to be resolved, which is a good thing, as I was at the end of my tether (literally).
As for the alternative options, yes I have been using LTE, but I've moved to a rural village where the signal is relatively poor. I could find only one provider that could connect to the LTE network (o2), but then I've had to find ways of locking my phone to that network as it kept falling back to HSDPA 3G and the speeds were too slow to be usable. Luckily I have an Android phone which allows me to do this via hidden settings, at the cost of not being able to make or receive calls.
Even then it wasn't enough to power the whole house. Mrs has been furloughed, but if she tried to use my hotspot while I worked then my connection would just flake out. In the end, I had to get another 'contract' to run alongside so she could use the internet as well. It's worked OK but a pain in the arse really, but we were very lucky. I suspect if I'd been just a few doors down I would have been completely screwed.
It's not completely resolved as they're now investigating why I'm now not getting the speeds I'm paying for (currently 50% under).
Another poster joked about liking it when the internet went down, but try it for 3 months, during a lockdown, and get back to me on whether that is pleasurable... I can tell you it ain't!

Is that your way of putting some perspective on your clearly inferior setup?

Look into using an external antenna.I get 70-80Mbps down / 40Mbps using an eternally mounted directional antenna facing a mast with line of sight. An iphone inside my house gets about 25Mbps.

Definitely this. Totally not defending the incompetence of the provider, but an external antenna and a 4G router at a total cost under £100 would have seen a good solid internet connection throughout the house with minimal effort.I get 70-80Mbps down / 40Mbps using an eternally mounted directional antenna facing a mast with line of sight. What are the download caps on that like?
I have a Voda unlimited data SIM which costs £25/monthHave shoved 500+ GB monthly across it for the best part of a year and never noticed it being throttled or been asked to slow down
Just need them to upgrade the cell to 5G, but rural Shropshire probably isn't very high up their list

Desk and chair just over £2k.
Add a UPS and lots of cables and its probably pushing £11k ex VAT. If the workstation was full price it would be £15k easily.
The 8K is the real indulgence here - it's a thing of beauty. Great for editing 50MP DLSR output.

What do you do at the desk that requires c£13k inc VAT of kit?
He mentioned photography so I’m guessing to do with that/video. Some video editing suites absolutely eat ram and graphics cards when rendering and the like especially when working with 8k video.
The new Mac Pro can be had with 1.5 terabytes of ram!
