Time for a new mouse

I've the Master MX, pricey but I use mine 8 hours plus everyday so I need a good quality mouse. I've used cheaper mice in the past but they always cause pain in my hand after a few weeks.
It has seven buttons and two scroll wheels (horizontal scroll is extremely useful for large spreadsheets) and you can configure the buttons for different apps as well.
While it has a built in rechargable battery (I recharge mine every couple of weeks) you can just power it using a normal USB cable all the time if you prefer.

I've got mice with both, don't find it a problem going between the two. Personally, I like the "step-less" .. I find it more accurate.8bit said:

On paper the M705 appears slightly shorter (lengthwise, not height) than the M500 so veering more towards the M500 at the moment. One thing that concerns me slightly - the "hyper fast" scrolling. I popped in to PC World last night as they had a display of various mice, not connected to a computer or anything but just there to hold and stuff. A couple of the Logi ones had that hyper-fast scrolling, that's the sort of step-less scroll wheel. I didn't like the feel of it at all (obviously without being able to use it on a computer), is that something one would get used to?
I did actually buy a mouse, some cheap Advent thing - it felt really comfortable in hand, ideal size and shape for me - got it home, plugged it in, lasted 3 minutes. Didn't track properly on any surface, actually the worse mouse I've ever used.

Re: the wireless vs wired, I've used both and for normal desktop use and most games wireless if perfectly fine, you won't notice the difference. If Logitech made a wireless mouse the size of the M500 I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I would suggest that if you can find the m705 or another wireless at a place that takes returns, buy and try it, if you don't like it then just return it.
I've had a Logitech Revolution MX for the last 9 years at work, it's fab!
So fab, that last year I had a choice to either buy an MX Master (as you cant get a Revolution nowadays for love nor money), or buy a new battery and give mine a through stripdown, I bought it a new battery and new skid feet!
Almost a bit sad I un-man math'd myself out of a new toy though, I'd go for the Master any day tbh, especially if you use it for more than just occasional use.
The battery on mine lasts for about 3 weeks of 10am-6pm heavy use, and I've had zero issues with connection issues, and mine uses older RF tech, the modern unifying reciever/bluetooth should be even better...however that works!

My 11-year-old Logitech orbit optical trackball has just broken. All I get from Windows is device not recognised. It doesn't respond to shaking or blowing.
My wireless mouse that I use as a back up hasn't been used for almost as long and it has shown its displeasure by not working.

I was cleaning my desktop and unplugged various bits with the computer off. The only one that didn't want to play on start up was the Logitech.

I damn hate cheap crap mouses..Its the thing that you use the MOST.. Hence I did research and bought some time ago exactly what the OP asked

I paid like $5 for it, not in UK, but you can get it here for like $10 so still good
Logitech has turned to CRAP, they are trading on their name now...Unless you spend like $50, you ain't going to get a NICE mouse..
They used to be GREAT in past,now they are just another cheap chinese junk company - fuk them..
