I use it on in Windows 7 PC, which is connected to my TV. I've imported my movies and downloaded the content fine, but when it comes to the TV shows, i'm having trouble. I can import them under videos in the Confluence skin, but it won't download any content from the server. All file naming conventions are correct so i know it's not that.

When i change the skin to PM3.HD and click on TV shows, i have no option to "Add Source".

Any ideas?

I thought the TV section of XBMC was expecting to be looking at a TV tuner card rather than storage?

I had to add my TV Show sources from the Videos section. Add a single source which has paths to all of your TV locations and then set the type as TV Shows when the next screen appears. It will try to download from the TVDB by default, and I've found that once it starts, its best not to touch anything until it finishes.

I tried this but i just kept getting the "Can't connect to remote server" message. So i figured they were there, but just without the artwork. When i changed the skin and looked under TV shows, there was nothing there.

Have you updated to Eden?

ETA: alternatively, install SickBeard and have that download all the information and XBMC should just import the library from the nfo's SickBeard creates.

Yes i am using Eden. Not that i can see that it would cause an issue in any way, but could it have anything to do with the fact that my movies and TV shows are stored on different drives? My movies are on my D: and my TV shows are on my E:

The movies have imported fine with all the DVD covers and fanart, but the TV stuff fails every time.

Suppose i'll move some stuff across to my D: later and try it

I think that error is related to the scraper, rather than access to your files. When you add the source, try using a different scraper or no scraper at all if possible. This will only really work if you have the metadata already downloaded for your shows though.

Well i've got it to work now, thankfully. It was strange! I added my source folder (TV Shows) and i got the "can't connect to server" error. I then went to my files and right clicked on one particular show, and scanned for content.....It worked! Then it started scanning all the others and set them up as it should have in the first place!

The only problem i have now, is that TVDB doesn't like all my TV shows! For example, it doesn't work with the 3 seasons of Spartacus, especially Gods of the Arena.

There is an app called "the renamer" which is pretty usefull. It will rename to a filename that TVDB will recognise.

My TV section was a pain to setup as well, all working well now though.

I ended up keeping all episodes of Spartacus under a Blood and Sand folder. Shame really as my previous media centre (using Media Browser) was happy to have them separate.

It is rather annoying when you have everything set up as you want it, then just the odd one or two, like Spartacus aren't right. What is even more annoying, is that when you go to the TVDB website and search for the shows that haven't worked, they show up but don't pull through to XBMC.
