Hi,

Does anyone know what the current F&F O2 discount is?

I've had my contract for about 4 years, initally i had 30% discount applied and this rolled over onto my new iPhone 4 contract but i'm hearing this may not be the offer anymore and i will either be inline for something different or lose it altogether?

Looking to clarify before i get an iPhone 5 on friday as if i'm going to lose the discount it looks cheaper to change who i'm with.

Cheers,
Ry

I had this applied to my last O2 contract (for an iP3) on the 'Friends' side of the offer. It was a couple of years ago and was, like you said, 30% off the basic monthly tariff.

The same friend has now said that the offer has switched to a lump sum off as opposed to a percentage. Not sure of the details as it wasn't worth my while last time I renewed.

Tough one.

I'm currently paying £25/month including my discount.

It would be hard to justify paying for the handset upfront and keeping the discount.

With O2 i could go onto £36/month + £99.99 for the handset but that stings a bit.

Three are offering £34/month + £79.99 for the handset. Plus unlimited data. Which appears to be the best deal of all the carriers...

Would the standard PH response of a GiffGaff sim be any use (cheaper and unlimited data)?

Does work out slightly cheaper, but does their network actually work or are they like an early day's Three?

I'm leaning towards O2, £26/month £249.99 handset. Then if i can carry my F&F discount for a lump sum that would be a bonus....

OP,

Its still a 30% discount but will need renewing.

In the past discounts have rolled over but this time they will expire and require re-activation.
