Transfer 100GB to Macbook Air
Discussion
How? What's the best way?
I've got a 100GB iPhoto library that needs to move across from my old Macbook Pro to my new Macbook Air.
I have a Western Digital My Cloud NAS device but it's taking forever to move over from the MBP using a wireless connection (Virgin router).
I can't hardwire it to the NAS drive using ethernet because MBA doesn't have a port.
P**sing me right off!

Alternatively get a 128GB USB3 stick like this: http://www.dabs.com/products/kingston-datatraveler...
After the copy, the are a really useful way to carry data with you or keep key documents backed up offsite

You can use a utility like iPackr to archive the pictures up into split set of files, say 30gb each, then copy them across, once you've finished use iPackr on the new machine to expand them back out.http://www.addictivetips.com/mac-os/ipackr-file-co...
