If I managed to order and pay (unlikely but possible), would they have to honour the deal ?
I know about "invitation to treat" but once they have accepted payment surely the contract has been agreed.
If they take your money, you have a leg to stand on. But they won't and you will get a nice polite email on Monday morning telling you to feck off.I know about "invitation to treat" but once they have accepted payment surely the contract has been agreed.

About 20 years ago, they worked out they didn't have to honour it after Argos put up TVs for £5 by mistake.I know about "invitation to treat" but once they have accepted payment surely the contract has been agreed.

Amazon ordered a Blu Ray box set that had a price of £59.99 but was on at £2 something @ 1 per person recently, but no mission of this being honoured.

Too much hassle with no chance of it being honoured.
The thing is, if only a few dozen people ordered and there was only slight uptick in orders then there's a chance it might have gone unnoticed. When idiots steam in and order hundreds someone at HP is going to have a look because of the unusual order activity. Happens every time there's a pricing mistake and someone tries to make a profit.

Sounds like that could make sense. So if you find it, don't tell a soul.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
