It is a strange one, and I feel that I should I know the answer but ...

I have some white text on a green background. The font used is colonna, and I want to move various parts of the font closer to the actual letters. I guess that I have to rasterize, but then what?

TIA

Not sure what you mean? The actual gap between letters? I always have to adjust line spacing as it's far too huge!
That's easy enough to sort, post more specific details for me, and i'll try and help....

If it's the gaps between the letters horizontally then you need to adjust the kerning. If it's the gap vertically then the line spacing.

I don't know Illustrator (I have to use Corel Draw) but a search for kerning in the help will bring up the correct information; you do not need to rasterize the font...

I am designing a logo, and the font I was to use as some "extra bits" around the letters that I want to move in a bit closer.

I can't do it using standard font options, so guessing that I will have to move it manually.

On a "C" for example, there is a bit on the left that I want to move closer to the actual letter part!

Don't rasterise them, but convert to outlines - then they become beziers that you can ungroup, move, etc.
