I've never heard of them but they're offering broadband for £1 per month with £10 per month line rental.

Anyone have any experience of them?

Well Sky have been given the elbow & I've taken the chance & signed up for a 12 month contract, £132 all in + £9.99 optional new router delivery.

Seems too good to be true ...................... ?
The router looks to be a basic netgear thing ?

Pop telecom phoned me this morning to ask why I didn't complete my online order. I did, I said, I have an order number & everything, she was very helpful & assured me she'd get the ball rolling.

The way I left my connection to Sky is that they were not cancelling my broadband yet but were sending me a PAC code. Pop say they don't need one so as soon as I get a delivery from Pop I can just cancel sky.

@gpo746.. Might be too good to be true but I figure it's worth a try, what's the worst that could happen. smile Don't know what make or anything about the router but my old Thomson router is a good few years old now so a new one has got to be worth the price of delivery.

As from today I am connected & everything is ok.

A very painless process involving one letter from BT stating if I didn't want disconnecting I should contact them immediately.

A letter from POP giving me a connection date.

The only thing was the router didn't turn up in time & I had to pick it up from local post office today, but I think that was royal mails fault & not pop's.

The internet supplier is Talk Talk & for those that may be interested the router is a TP-link TD-W8951ND.

How do they manage to do it cheaper than talk talk? I paid up front for the line rental, about £120 or so and talktalk bill me £3.50 a month. Not long into a new contract with them though so if you are still happy in 10 months time I might as well switch.

^^ I have no idea how they do it cheaper. I didn't even know who the provider was until I plugged the router in & was changing the password in the router homepage & noticed Talk Talk in the settings.

I've done a speed test & it's about 1mbps slower than I was getting with sky. The fastest I've ever got is 12 & I'm down to about 10.9 but I don't notice the difference & for all I know it may settle down over time & go back up.
