Connecting to VNC server

All was working the other day, we could connect to our server via VNC.

But today we get this error message:

cannot connect to server;..NOT AN RFB SERVER

What does this mean?

I did a check on our IP and the only display that is responding is 0. Does that mean anything?

We can ping the server and get a response.

Thanks for the contributions.

It turns out a collegue had installed some anti-trojan software which had adjusted the server's registry.

We re-installed VNC as recommended and all is okay.
