iPhone Battery Life

I currently have a 6+ which I've had for about 2.5 years, the thing I liked about it was the battery used to hold it's charge for roughly 4-5 days.

However now it barely lasts a day and I am a very light user.

Now I accept batteries deteriorate over time, but surely it should still last longer than this?

Is it possible to get a replacement battery fitted, I don't really want to change my phone and the PIA that that involves.

So they are designed to fail? No wonder apple are so successful you have to change your phone every two years, that's convenient.

What happens to all the old phones? The environmental impact must be enormous!

Remind me never to buy an electric/hybrid car!
