Entry Level Laptop which one?

I am looking for a entry level laptop for just browsing the net some word/excel type work. and possibly some minor image editing of holiday snaps (cropping and putting borders etc around them etc)

I have been looking at:

Acer
Dell
and HP
All of these have 1Gig Ram, and either a entry level celeron processor, or a AMD processor and are less than £400

I have a decent workstation at home so just wanted something for browsing from the sofa and garden. any recomendations?

Or a Dell for a mx of £400

Problem with the HP is that it only has 512 RAM and Vista Basic. I wanted Vista Premium for the few little extras that are included
