Ok, I need some help here.

As much as I like the iphone, I am not going to spend that kind of money.

I have been offered for free either the 8Gb N95 or the TytnII (Well XDA something-or-another but it's the same thing)

So given the choice, what would it be. Or any other phones (Before anyone says anything I don't really like the touchscreen LG or the Prada phone)

Couple of Tytn Q's.
Do you feel or look like a complete prat holding up to you face to talk?
As a follow - on is it as big as it seems? I have a K800 currently - will the tytn seem massive?
Is it actually any good as a phone?
Will the battery last a day? (Being sensible - not turning on every radio all the time)

On the N95
Again is the battery sorted - is it comparable to the normal N95? Will it last the day?
Have they fixed the GPS/firmware issues?
Whats the wifi like?

For both of the phones, I was stunned by how good Safari was on iphone. At the same time most other devices browsers seemed very bad. I know opera works on the N95, which would be OK, but is there anything better? On old PDA's Pocket Internet Explorer seemed to the the work of Satan. Is there anything available for the tytn which well isn't censored?

Thanks.

I noticed that thread as well. I've only jsut got used to having to charge my K800 evey couple of days. I want to go back to the days of weeks between charges.

I am never, ever buying a phone with a joystick again. As you say they just go wrong all the time. I became very friendly with the Sony Ericsson Warrenty department wink

On the tytn, does the 'X' still only minimise the program rather than actually kill it. This always bugged the hell out of me on older PPC's.

It can be set to close the application Or then you have the running applications list in top right corner, in todays screen.
Thanks. I remember having to much around with loads of randon 3rd party apps to get the old ones to do this. Is Pocket IE still bad?

Ah. The device would be branded. I thought I could just flash it with a generic firmware.

Warrenty, who needs one anyway wink. Besides providing it isn't totally fubar'd, whats stopping you reverting it back to factory specs before sending it off?

Thanks. Out of interest, do most of the electronic manufacturers subcontract out their repairs to the same place in MK?

I've sent a number of warrenty claims all to the PO box there.

OK, I had a chance to play with the N95 the other day and its rather nice.

However nobody seems to have the tytn in stock on the high street. Will I look like a total idiot (or rather more of an idiot)if I use one as a normal phone due to its (presumably massive) size.
