Whay are these Merc recommended?
Whats the reinforced bit? Run flat?
So which tyres should I fit?
What compromise is there on ride quality?
Any advice really appreciated!
Reinforced would have been specified to suit the vehicle weight, as they are part of the spec then any replacements need to be the same.Whats the reinforced bit? Run flat?

Please could someone tell me what is the most likely cause of 'hunting' when starting from cold on my C200 Kompressor (W202)?
It doesn't always happen but maybe 2 or 3 times out of every 5 starts from cold, the idle speed will 'hunt' for about a minute until the engine has warmed slightly and then settle down. Subsequent starts are fine. Starting from hot is fine and starting in very cold weather also seems to be fine.

Hi
I have had a Dec 07 SLK350 for 1 month. When I got into the car tonight to put it into the garage, before putting key into ignition, the passenger airscarf was blowing cold air. Have never used the airscarf passenger side. The only difference made when using the airscarf button was that the air blew warm. It seemed to turn off after a while but as soon as the drivers door was opened, the cold air started again. Am concerned if this happens all night the battery will be dead for work tomorrow. Any help please.

Euro Car Parts always managed to undercut me by a massive margin for MAF sensors

To save a couple of quid, you can have a quick go at cleaning it, although this will only be good for a few months if it works at all.

If you have a diesel, it's sometimes possible to buy just the probe section from a Sprinter for around 60 quid rather than the complete assembly with the housing for 250 quid. See if you can unscrew it and find a part number on just the part that's roughly the size of a lipstick.
Now worked at Mercedes for 6 months now so my knowledge is getting a little rusty, but HTH.

They are cheaper but i have had issues with non genuine air mass sensors, fit an MB one and its cured. Just a warninghttp://www.eurocarparts.com/branch_loca.asp

Hi
Quick question.
Which is the best engine in the viano - the 2.2 CDI or the 3.0 CDI with an auto box.
Thanks in advance

Without a doubt the 3.0 CDI.Quick question.

I have driven both, 2.2 for three years and 3.0 to present.
The V6 is quieter, smoother, faster and not much worse on fuel!
(admittedly this is in Vito 'van' state, but they are the same thing)

I'd be cautious with MAF sensors. I tried cleaning mine (very thoroughly), but it wasn't a complete fix. I bought a cheap new MAF, and apparently it took out my ECU. If the World was a fair place, the sensing element should only cost a few quid, but it's not really the place to start saving money. To save a couple of quid, you can have a quick go at cleaning it, although this will only be good for a few months if it works at all.

Hi,
Can anyone offer any advice on this....?
I have just bought an E270cdi with phone prep. The cradle is a Nokia version. Can I do anything to get my Blackberry to work with the car?
Thanks...Mark
I find these things very confusing, but perhaps either a Mercedes, or a third party, bluetooth adaptor would do the job.Can anyone offer any advice on this....?
