When did you drive one?
Cars from June build onward noiw have the latest, updated TCU spoftware. I think it's the same software off the 458 / SLS (same box) so it's really quick and intuitive. I have no issue with mine. Certainly better than the C63.
Plastics?? Pretty much all leather in mine. You sure you wrrent driving an A180 AMG Sport? lol
It was the first UK car so it would have been pre-TCU update, glad they sorted it as I could not believe AMG could let a car out of the factory with a gearbox like that! Still I am not huge on DCT as I find it a bit too clinical. I am not 100% on the C63's MCT gearbox either and my current favourite auto box is the ZF 8 speed in the M135i, Aston's, Jag F Type and a whole host of other cars.Cars from June build onward noiw have the latest, updated TCU spoftware. With regard to the interior, your car has the added advantage of having the leather dash option which GREATLY enhances it. The vast majority of A45's don't and in my opinion the standard dash looks cheap. The plastics I mentioned are the ones around the gear selector, the ashtray area and the panel where the electric seat buttons are.
We've got an A220 CDI AMG Sport (wife's car) and I really do not rate the interior. I have a facelift C63 with designo leather and except for one small rattle the interior is lovely. Although, I think the new M3/4 has a much nicer interior, but the W204 is now last gen and the new W205 interior is lovely - except the COMAND screen which I still don't like.

Eddie - do you have any pics of your car? One came down my road last week, black with red details, and I wondered if it was you?

Boring question but what is your mpg with the remapped A45?
Seems like the A45 really defeats the point of a used C63 at the same price point unless you really need the space (and noise!).
The mapped A45s do marginally better on the fuel than stock ones due to more efficient power delivery and fuelling. I get 35 on the motorway and am averaging 28 currently. That said, increased power does mean increased right foot! This will in turn oppose the increased efficiency. I don't think you can compare the cars really. RWD 6.2 V8 saloon / estate / coupe versus Haldex AWD 2.0T hot hatch.Performance aside from a remapped A45 the C63 is a completely different beast.

Tried out the Park Assist function for the first time this morning. Very entertaining! And unnerving!
I have this on my E Class estate - it is entertaining and unnerving - I think in part due to the speed! I have to stop myself from grabbing the wheel or dabbing the brakes when I use it! Edited by bmthnick1981 on Tuesday 26th August 14:11

There are quicker A45's though... MENTAL
Got a few more miles on it thought, so no doubt ecain's will get there soon!
You need to back up that display with the graph plotted in performance tools. You can cheat the vbox display by 0.3secs off your 0-60/100 by having 1 foot rollout selected (1 foot rollout only to be used on 1/4m dragstrip) In addition, when plotting the graph, you also need to plot the height chart, this will let us know if downwards elevation has been used Got a few more miles on it thought, so no doubt ecain's will get there soon!

Or you could just chill and accept its roughly accurate. Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
