Still can't wrap my head around those figures, so so cheap. If for some crazy reason someone wants out of their deal please drop me a PM. ![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)
As I missed out I've been toying with the idea of buying a 4C - it would seem 35K will get you a relatively nice example. How do people see the values of these going forward the next year or two? (Apologies that it is a bit of a crystal ball question!)
I suggest you try one, it’s a car you will love or loath, if you love it at 35k it’s a steal. It really depends what you are wanting / expecting ![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)

For many despite them wanting and talking about having a real drivers car it’s just to raw .
As to where prices will go I have little idea but I can’t see them dropping that much more, maybe some of the early cars will but they I feel weren’t as good. It’s traditionally the time of year when sports cars don’t sell so maybe bid someone hard , you might get lucky BUT make sure it’s had all it’s services, they are annual or 12000 miles, the first is about a grand at the main dealer and even if it’s covered zero mikes has to be done , it’s a strip to check the car having been hand built and to check the torque of many fixings and bolts relax over time not just due to mikes covered .
I think the problem for the used market is the cost to buy one new. On paper a used car looks like good value at £35k when a new car cost £53k list without any extras.
However I bet there are hardly any 4C owners that paid close to list price for their new car apart from those very first launch edition buyers. I just configured a 4C coupe with racing exhaust, protection film, leather/microfibre interior and 18/19 inch 5 hole wheels in matte black at £57,650. Without even picking up the phone to see what deal I might be able to haggle the best price I've been offered for a new car is £42,383, that's £15k under list!
Therefore if new deals are being offered at this price we should assume that used cars should be starting at around £34k (assuming around 20% depreciation), is that fair? But most cars are priced a lot higher as I assume retailers are pricing used cars based on their list price not their original sale price which is why I think they are hanging about.
I personally feel £30k is the sweet spot for 4c's as I think the market is so niche as it's a very particular car

Didn't they just announce that they're going to completely revamp the 4C with better steering, suspension eye and possibly a different engine? To make it what it should have been their flagship sports car.
That will impact used prices.
Yes Alfa have just announced that they are going to overhaul the 4C as they want it to be the halo car for the brand as it re-enters into F1. Also with the new Alpine A110 getting rave reviews and 718 Cayman I think Alfa has some stiff competition in that £50-60k sports car market. So yes in theory this new car should impact prices of the earlier cars further. Are we looking at higher mileage early 4c's hitting £25k in next 12 months? That will impact used prices.

Thank you very much, Trev. Very informative. Will keep my eye on the market but reluctant to do anything just yet as I can't afford to lose £10K in as many months!

Interesting. Did you get an estimated delivery date? I'd assume somewhere towards the end of February.
No, he just said then allow a couple of weeks or so after that. I didn’t bother pushing for anything as they obviously haven’t got a clue! As you said, based on that I assume some point in February. However I guess there is a chance mine might end up being started earlier too like the other week 3 car.Who knows! The factory seems to do what they want!
Are any of you doing anything to your cars with respect to alloy wheels and wraps or ceramic coatings?
I ordered with standard wheels but am considering aftermarket alloys.
I hear the pain on Alfa's is very soft and prone to swirling so I'm considering a ceramic coating such as G-Techniq as well.

Not too concerned by anything as extreme as PPF, if the paint is that bad then I’m sure it could be argued under fair wear and tear. Ceramic coating might not be a bad idea considering the cost.I ordered with standard wheels but am considering aftermarket alloys.

Wheels I’m really unsure, I wish I’d gone for the 7 spoke option at only £600 - I wanted the 5 hole ideally but apart from trying to not get carried away with options, I was still sceptical about the deal so didn’t put too much thought into it.
Anybody tried Plastidip before? Black standard wheels was something I considered...
When is the most boring Alfa 4C meet happening then? - all stock black with no options!

I never bother with this stuff on lease cars. I ordered with standard wheels but am considering aftermarket alloys.

I too went for standard wheels, but prefer the look of the black teledials. Maybe aftermarket is the way forward?

Car should come with Bonnet, Wings, Lower Doors, Mirrors PPF'd. It has been std on most cars recently , also pray you get reversing sensors I ordered with standard wheels but am considering aftermarket alloys.

Revamped car not scheduled until 2019 & as with most things Alfa that's probably a best guessI went for all standard except for the following options:
Rear Parking Sensors: £0 option
Cruise control: £0 option
Bi-Xenon headlights: £400 option
For some reason, the above only added £2.11 to the monthlies - or £67.52 over the term. I'd always thought you paid the entire cost of an option on a lease deal but apparently not.

The multi spokes on EBay are nice, depends how much you would get back on them afterwards. Otherwise I would have rather have had a factory upgrade and saved the hassle.
I also went for the free cruise and parking sensors. I did consider the upgraded lights - I wanted the function of them (bi xenon) but I liked the carbon standard ones. But definitely a bargain at £2.11
