Abarth 595 Competizione as a daily?

Just picked my 2018 595 comp and it's an absolute riot to drive! It's got the comp pack, with Akrapovic exhaust, carbon Sabon buckets and it's adrenaline green, you can't miss it.
The only bad thing is it has the Uconnect 7" screen but no carplay. Hoping i can find someone to do Proxy alignment that may activate it.
Makes a great car for London driving.

Unless something has changed - unless the CarPlay is an option at build - it can’t be activated later. The only bad thing is it has the Uconnect 7" screen but no carplay. Hoping i can find someone to do Proxy alignment that may activate it.

I spent a long time trying various dealers but it can’t be done.

That's such a shame, did the same thing happen to you? I spent a long time trying various dealers but it can’t be done.
Someone did say it *may* be possible, and not sure I'd trust a main dealer. Did you look down the Multiecuscan route? It's a bit above my tech level for sure!
Worst case is a new head unit i guess...

I just use Bluetooth From the phone for music and Waze on the phone instead. It’s no great loss.

Pre-pandemic it did 16 miles a day but it’s not been in daily use since. Done a whopping 1730 miles between MOTs this year. My 595 comp had its first service at 1400 miles so similar mileage. Which garage did you use? Haverfordwest is a stretch and Cardiff seems to have very little Abarth presence. Mine is a keeper so other than for warranty a main dealer history is irrelevant.
