The Alfa Romeo 4C lease thread

Alfa dictates/advises that the first service (and every two years) involves bolt tightening on the carbon tub. The actual cost seems to vary from dealer to dealer, but budgeting something around the £800-£900 seems to be about right. My car had covered 1000 miles at the first service so I just insisted on an oil change and I'll have the bolt tightening done once the miles actually warrant(i.e. next year once there may be a chance for the bolts to actually loosen!) I'm not sure how this would be looked on if a car was leased, however.
See here for plenty of advice:

I appreciate why you did what you did but I personally feel the dealer should not have done it. You presumably have the service book stamped so can sell it with full service history yet the most important first service has t been done . Agreed you say you will get it done See here for plenty of advice:

From what i've read, the ride is better on the smaller wheels. Also cheaper tyres! Agree that the larger ones look so much nicer though. Steven944 said:

Bolt relaxation is time dependant not mileage. Its a good suggestion, it wouldn't save any money initially and you would have to pay for them upfront rather than monthly but obviously you would be able to sell them for a fair bit after the 2 years are up, plus wouldn't need to worry about any re-furb/tyre replacements etc.
I assume there are other adjustments done for the bigger wheels in the factory (speedo calibration would be the obvious one - is there anything else on these that might differ)? I did also see a video underneath the 4c suggesting it might not be so easy to jack/lift the car with the carbon tub like a conventional one?

Matt, yes that sounds about right...I always go for the smaller wheel option for better handling/ride. I've not seen the car in person with the 17/18 std wheels or the fly eyed lights but I doubt I'll be concerned with either once I'm behind the wheel.
I'm not sure but I very much doubt there are any changes at the factory depending on which wheels are fitted.
Insurance, cheaperst for me was £405 (33yo 7+ncb, nice area but ungaraged)

Cheers. I contacted the email address in the first post with some questions but I've not had a reply. GaryG182 said:

She's off ill I was told....
CVL have said their deal is off now.
Interesting, did they give you any more information?CVL have said their deal is off now.
I hope the Unity deal doesn't turn out to be BS. I'm so excited for the car now I'll probably end up having to buy one.
Interestingly the reason I got told for the deal was a big mark up in book price for 4C's in March which (positively) impacted residuals and enabled them to tweak the figures and then apply fleet discount.

Just that, nothing else. Unity deal isn't BS - I got it. I think they only had a limited supply/allocation and lots of interest.

Just me that won't believe it until I take delivery of the car then haha.Interestingly the reason I got told for the deal was a big mark up in book price for 4C's in March which (positively) impacted residuals and enabled them to tweak the figures and then apply fleet discount.
Yes I got the same, uplift in residuals meaning cheap lease deals for us!
I'm nervous too! Lauren seems super friendly though so just going to trust her! We shall see I suppose.
Given current production rates (did I read that there's only 150 on UK roads?), I expect an influx of orders (I expect maybe 20 orders could have gone in due to this deal?), most standard black alfa's, there's potential for either Alfa to say no, or us not seeing these cars until next year!
I also heard from my local dealer than order books are closed on 4c's until end of Q2... This could cause complications.
Have you all paid your £1k deposits?

No I feel the same apprehension, they say they are not actually ordering the car from Alfa until June, so a lot can change before then.
I was told they were not limited to a specific number of cars, but had only anticipated selling a few.

Yep I paid my £1000 Thursday morning which was 0500 my time the other side of the atlantic (keen) Apparently I was first to put the money down, I joked I was front of the queue so I better get mine first haha.
I asked about restrictions in allocation and Lauren said there wasn't but yes I don't think orders have been placed yet...I have until March 31st to make up my mind regarding headlights apparently!
