4C - Where are we with prices right now?
Discussion
I think the overall picture is still a bit confusing.
There's a yellow one re-appeared at the Alfa dealer in Bedford. It's their demonstrator, and it's been for sale on and off since at least last November - at prices varying between a shade over £40K and around £46K, but it's not sold yet. It is a pretty decent spec car.
On the other hand, some cars to appear to be moving, and I'm starting to wish I'd bought one rather than leased one - because I really don't want to say goodbye to it.
Colourwise, I saw my first Grey one last week, it actually looked really nice and suited the car.

Well against all the odds, I've actually managed to buy a 4c Spider today, so provided on Monday when I'm due to collect it, it's not grown a roof, I'll be joining the club...
Well it’s been a tough journey for you but a good outcome , I’m sure once your driving it you will realise it was worth the hassle . ENJOY !! omniflow said:

I've tried to deal on the yellow spider at Bedford on a couple of occasions. It's a nice spec car, but it does look a little used on the Inside the last time I looked at it, the exposed carbon tub had a few scuffs and scratches, and it had a few chips on the exterior. The price as you say has fluctuated by around 5k since it came on. I called about it a few days ago, they'd shipped it up to their site in Norfolk. I requested a call back to negotiate on the price but didn't receive a call from the dealer, no surprise there then....

Thanks Stuart,Very much looking forward to picking it up next week. My regular co-pilot was 10 last week, she's pretty excited about it too!

Yeah - it's the first / only 4C I test drove. I loved the way the car drove, but really didn't like the condition of that specific car - it really didn't look like it had been looked after. Also the advertised mileage was off by around 4,000 miles. The price as you say has fluctuated by around 5k since it came on. Is it likely such a car exists -
Pearl / satin white (whatever it’s called) or Comp red
Larger dark wheels
Leather dash
Black interior (red at a push if white exterior)
Spider
?
There’s nothing out there that really grabs me at the moment...
This - red interior, and wheels are easy enough to paint:Pearl / satin white (whatever it’s called) or Comp red

I do wonder how well these interiors will wear - I've only ever seen <5k cars, but plenty talking about wear and tear on the early cars with 10k+ on them, especially scuffs on the carbon and sills. The price as you say has fluctuated by around 5k since it came on. The Elise was the same, the sills were prone, but easy to fix as it was just a cover, but once the aluminum was scratched and scuffed there was no going back. I expect due to the 4C having the same exposed interior will suffer the same as the mileage increases.

Apologies - I meant the round hole dark wheels. (Clover leaf?)
Although that second car above looks far better than the first for some reason.

PPF on the cills is really worth considering as they are easily marked The Elise was the same, the sills were prone, but easy to fix as it was just a cover, but once the aluminum was scratched and scuffed there was no going back. I noticed this:
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
Had hung around a while, even dropped in price. Thought it looked decent....good spec, although smaller wheels. Then I noticed it doesn't have rear parking sensors :/ why tick all those boxes and not rear sensors, especially as it was free?
I fancied that car when I was looking but no parking sensors meant it was not for me and as others agree they're essential on a coupe.https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

On the 4C-Forum plenty of US/EU drivers have clocked up in excess of 30k miles in theirs and no reports of excessive wear. AR thought about this in one area (which is a total surprise they thought about anything!) making the seat side bolster in cloth as it is near impossible to get into the car without rubbing against it - a weak point if leather I'd expect. As above at 10,500 miles my interior looks as new as the day the car was delivered. It's all just a matter of care.
Just as a point..If a previous owner were of a slightly larger frame, it would easily wear the seat bolster as the seats aren't particularly wide.

Auto100 have a lovely Rosso comp just gone up for sale - all the right spec, good price at £35k on 8k miles...but...
No parking sensors again I don't suppose anyone knows how difficult they would be to install? Ideally to integrate into the existing distance meter that appears on the dash?

Audible with beeps to ncreasing to a long one before the impact is all you need , I think there are plenty of aftermarket options No parking sensors again I don't suppose anyone knows how difficult they would be to install? Just done a quick google
E. Bay has kits from £20 ( CRAP ) but the first fit fitted that looked worth a phone call was this
http://www.roadradio.com/parking-sensors/?gclid=EA...
And they offer colour coding for £30
Not exactly the end of the world , dealer may even know a man who can

Yeah, aftermarket isn't too difficult or expensive, it's just nice to have the "proper" setup I guess. Not the end of the world as long as the rest of the car is up to snuff.
Oh, and the LE at Hillmoren has sold already...barely lasted 2 days. Anyone on here?
Way to cheap. Nearly called them to say stick £3k on it. Look out for it to hit back on the market with new owner. Lol Oh, and the LE at Hillmoren has sold already...barely lasted 2 days. Anyone on here?
That comp rosso car is an absolute bargain.
Spec is bang on with the yellow callipers.
Will be gone in no time.
