Could it simply be the heat soak effect from a hot engine which isn't running? (I read this one fairly breifly).
Af course it will appear to be hotter after 10-30 minutes without the engine running.
BTW, as fair as I know, the 156 has a 1 speed cooling fan (at least on the twin fan V6).
Is the new radiator a genuine one, or could it have slighlty inferior heat transfer properties?
