Traditional, ropey, end-of-summer photos. Such a good car.

Lovely Rosso.

My 4C goes upto Jamie P next week whilst Im out at Madrid for work. Fly back on Friday, pick her up and then a chum and I off down to Bruges, Ring and Milano for a gentle tour. I did contemplate doing the Ramparts, but I was only at the house down there in June.
Its a lovely town is Angouleme and a very French counterpoint to Goodwood!
Having the steering mod?

We’ve done Angouleme a few times before but it’s the first time we are participating in the event. Can’t wait.

Had Intermediate mod done in March for the 12,000 service. She is going in for her 24,000 now. I was going to have the carbon shift paddles but talking to them it seems they had big problems with their suppliers. So will just be a vanilla service and check over. I’ve had a few sensors go a bit “Italian” over the last week, so will ask them to check.

Mostly just make sure she is in fine fettle for the next 6 months/12,000 Miles over winter.

Yes. Needs some TLC, but still got it.
Just trying to psyche myself up to spend the money sort it.

Some new Big(ish) Brake Bling on the GTV6:

I should have rolled it back a few inches to get the full Logo on Display Look

Before:

H'mm, well I guess they keep the unsprung weight down

After:

That's more like it...much more reassuring

Here's mine, off to find out what terrifyingly expensive electrical fault it has.

Anything in particular, behaviour wise? I had all kinds of strange and wonderful messages when I had my 159, turned out to be loose terminal on the battery which simply didn't fit right (self diagnosed/fixed i.e. folded up bit of lead betwixt terminal and clamp).

I was having cold start problems for a while, new battery helped but then they came back.

Putting easy start down the intake got it going and off to the garage where sure enough the cold start problems stopped happening.

Car came back and was fine for a bit then the wouldn't start - back to the garage, same again.

Car came back, few weeks later same again. This time the garage kept it for a week, started it twice a day and no problems at all. I took it home, and it was fine for two days, then wouldn't start. Now easy start does not help - and the ECU is saying all 5 injectors are faulty, which they probably aren't.

RAC man says he thinks no fuel is getting to the fuel filter.

So I'm now just waiting for the word from a different garage as to what might be the problem...

Edit: This has been going on for about a year now, and I've been driving around in a Seat Leon I bought off my sister for £200 quid. The Seat has been faultless but I really miss the Alfa. Not being able to trust that it would start on any given day kind of relegated it sit on the drive for a long time.

Hopefully it's not going to be too painful, not long before I got rid of mine it started having starting issues, thankfully a simple fix though as it just needed a new set of glow plugs (£75 but in comparison to sorting the gearbox bearings and clutch/DMF cheap).

Thanks.
Not sure, believe them to be 70's British mags, princess Anne alloys from Scimitars and MG's etc.
