No response from Peter today, I even called and left a message this afternoon. Given up hope on even getting a reasonably priced stock spider now. Back to the drawing board.
He seems to be a difficult man to get hold of! He rang very very promptly when I filled in an enquiry form on line. May be worth a shot to get him to call you!?

I've been informed that a white limited edition/50th anniversary spider is available for immediate delivery at Chris Variava Nottingham contact Matt/Paul. You'll have to be quick.

This weekend!? Wow that's fast....I'll be at Le mans, not back until the 19th then away with work frown
Just had an email, mine arrives at the dealer on Monday next week and would be available for collection from Thursday 22nd onwards.
Yours may be on the same transport

It's gonna be a long impatient wait until the 1st July

I've managed to get a 50th Anniversary Spider via CVL but being quoted extortionate insurance rates, are there any suitable specialists that are worth contacting?

My car is due towards the end of the month but my dealer can't tell me when and I'm wanting to go on a European road trip but can't book anything up, very frustrating.
Managed to get the special red colour so v happy.

Remember the dealers will also have access to this & may flag up if a dealers under priced it , not nice if you loose a deal

Really hope I don' lose out on the deal I've been quoted on, issue is, thats as far as I've got, just a quote and forms, nothing concrete. Can see this ending in bitter disappointment frown

There's a couple of good stock car deals on their page now (if you're mad enough to option your leased cars up to the max):

Interesting- the price for the factory order car has gone up a lot (still a good deal but more realistic)!

Picking up my Spider on Saturday but only sorting final paperwork tomorrow!

Noted the post above - slightly concerning that the deal has already been altered to more realistic figures.

I was told to expect the agreement through today as the credit check had been run and all had gone through okay. Still nothing however . .

Clearly, after last time, we all have some trust issues . .

I paid £2905.20 up front + £322.80 x 23 + £180.00 fee's so in total £10509.60 for the term. Not bad for a £67k car and way below the depreciation charge over 2 years and 12k miles.

My local Motorpoint in Derby just sold one 2016, with no more than a couple of thousand miles for £50k (a 50th Spider) so that's a fair indication that the depreciation is more than the lease. As said before VAT on £67k alone is more.

There are 56 on Autotrader ALL with less than 10k on the clock and the cheapest is a 2014 coupe for 38k. They have a 12 month old yellow spyder with all the nice options and a couple of hundred miles on it for 48k

Yes I get the impression lots of wealthy people buy them but then find them a bit 'raw' sell them on no doubt replace with a porker!

Agree. I think if you were used to a Porsche Cayman S, one of these with race pack and akrapovik exhaust could be a bit of a shock. They just don't seem to be selling though so I would have thought there would be a reluctance to build new ones for such a cheap lease price as the market is already saturated.

I chose a lease over buying as I would need finance, most likely some kind of PCP, that kind of ties you in to selling to trade later or at least makes a private sale trickier. If you were part x it in, you would have to go for another high value car, may not be an Alfa so you wouldn't be getting anything like those auto trader values for it.

Very nice. This would have been my ideal lease! Well done =)

Same position here, deposit paid and finance approved but seen very little paperwork as to what I have actually even signed for...

Went for the advertised deal - so just black on 6k miles which is plenty for what I need. Added cruise and parking sensors for £0 cost

Now just to sit and wait I guess and see what happens

Thanks for that. I saw your post yesterday lunchtime and rang them. They had a Rosso Competizione and a Madreperla car left so I signed up for the Rosso.

Had a slight hitch with the finance as I had an existing application open with Thames so had to ring them and get that cancelled before they could proceed with it at Chris Variava.

Got the call back today, left a deposit and was sent the paperwork. Should have an idea of lead time soon.

£399.95 on a 10+23 with 5k pa. Somewhat more expensive than the prices some folks on here are paying for the same spec cars but I figured it was worth the extra. Plus the dealer is in Nottingham so a lot closer to travel from Leeds.
