There is one Adrenaline Green Comp on AT with Xenons and 7" Nav but no PP. I think they might have stopped the PP now, according to the dealer when I ordered mine they were looking to take it off the options list but they might have now changed there minds on this. Myself and Bungle had issues when ordering ours in terms of the factory shut down and facelift on the S4 but it was worth the wait in the end.

Agghh, this is what I was worried about. Although if production is definitely going to start back up again soon (I am presuming it's because of the new emissions rules?), I'll probably just wait and get the exact spec I want, just without the diff.

How do you find the diff? I'm driving a Fiesta ST at the moment and comparing to my previous Comp, I am thinking I would need to get the diff for it to live up to the ST handling wise. If it's not available, then so be it; I know how much fun these little cars are and miss my old one something rotten.
They have already done the emissions change stuff (it's what caused the delay for us earlier in the thread), not sure what the current delay is but the Dealer should know.

Diff is good and does change the dynamics a bit also steering feedback is better with it from the two I have driven.

That said, its no Fiesta ST pace wise. My comparison has always been around Milton Keynes then you would happily play with an ST all day long with no outright winner, however show both a bumpy set of twisties and I don't think you would see which way the Fiesta went, BUT you would be having far more fun in the 595 than you would in the Fiesta, its like the M140 vs the Golf R, the BMW cant match the VW for ultimate pace cross country but given a choice between the two I would take the M140 every time!

Thanks to both of you.

So just cos it has the larger screen doesn’t mean it has apple car play?
Correct, although, one usually equals the other but its not a dead cert

Don’t compromise with the 7” screen also make sure it’s carplay/android as it can’t be added on at a later date.
Can I just ask what this carplay/android actually is? The basic spec cars my dealer has been trying to sell me, all have this with the 72 Nav, but not Xenons or the auto-dim mirror!
Carplay or Android Auto are reflectors for your phone. You can use the touch screen on the car much in the same way you do your phone with a combo of touch control and voice. Obviously you can't play Angry Birds with it, but, for example with iOS you can use Maps (Google or Waze as well as Apple Awful Maps), Music (Apple or Tidal etc as well we Audible) Whatsapp and Messaging etc. I find it pretty useful once you get used to having it, it's actually annoying when you don't.

You should really be specing Xenons, I don't have the autodim rear view and can't say it bothers me, I did notice it at first but once I got used to having a normal mirror again can't say I miss it and in any case retrofitting one from a 500 is cheap and simple enough. The 7" screen wont really add anything to resale value but will make the car more desirable/easier to sell later on.

Thanks for that info. I tend to stick on the radio or a CD and that's me done, so don't really have any need for that then. :-D

Definitely will be speccing the Xenons though. They were standard (along with the mirror!) on my 2014 Comp! Madness how much they charge you for them now!
You'll struggle with a CD in the Abarth now... Xenons not being standard anymore irritated me as well but it was a must have in the end!

Unless things have changed recently the carbon dash is an extra anyway...

My comp was speced up with the Performance Pack, 7" Nav, Carplay, Beats and Xenons. I think list it would have been about £28k, I paid about £24k from memory.

However the same spec car would now be about 26k at list (7" Nav, carplay are now both standard on the comp according to the configurator)

Put code 687838E1 into here https://www.abarthcars.co.uk/configurator/ to see what mine is speced at on the new line up...

A few pictures from my recent trip home to Scotland.

Car was faultless and I'm not sure if I'm ashamed to admit that I'm the perfect body shape to be comfortable - 400 miles and 8.5hrs on the return leg with no real discomfort.

Mrs P loves the yellow - I think I’ll end up with red or black.
I think I’m one of the minority that prefers those standard wheels to the black multi spoke ones.
Nice pics Fungal! Will be doing something similar later in the year and doing the north road.

Pidsy do you mean you prefer the standard comp wheels that fungal has? The reason many of us end up with the black monza wheels is the performance pack adds them automatically..

I'm not a fan of the standard comp wheels or the supersport ones in black. I opted for the formula wheels on my car but I think the best ones are the ones on the turismo which are called Gran Turismo.

Agreed on the wheel front, the grand Turismos look lovely.
We collect our 595c Turismo new from Thames on Friday.
The spec is Podium blue with natural leather.
Awesome! 595c in podium blue with natural leather is the best combination, I may be slightly biased though.

Biased and wrong hehe

They’re not cheap for a warm hatch anyway, I think this will hurt sales badly.

One of the used cars I’m watching has gone up by a few hundred quid since last week. Hopefully the it doesn’t do the same across the board.
If it were a problem unique to the Abarth I would inclined to agree but it isn't so probably less so. I think it will effect the industry badly as a whole but who knows right now...

That said, it probably wont do any harm short term to used values.

By way of an update to the above trials and tribulations, I’Ve just bought, sight unseen from 400 miles away, a Nov ‘17, Modena Yellow, standard 145hp on the standard anthracite 16” wheels. Could’ve got a 2 month older Modena Yellow Tourismo with leather, 17s, auto climate etc 5 miles away for about £900 more, so you’ll all probably think I’ve gone mad, but I didn’t want 17s and I loathe the auto climate on my current 500, so that’s that.

Next stop, a good 2nd hand Monza, unless anyone can suggest good alternatives under £500?

One fly in the ointment - the yellow car was supposed to be part-financed by the sale of my 2012 500. But Mrs McC has decreed that it’s hers now, so it’s staying!! The main reason I was going for a Modena Yellow replacement was in honour of the yellow Siciento Sporting she had when we first met. Bl00dy wimmin!

Just curious what makes you loathe the climate control, really I'm intrigued as it doesn't bother me at all
Well, I’m hoping it’s normal and not just a fault with my car but, for a start:

1. No matter what the fan speed when I switch off the ignition, it resets to zero next time I start the car. Then I have to press a button numerous times to get the fan speed I want!

2. If I set it t auto, I can’t control where the air goes, i.e. feet, face, screen, etc. It decides, not me!

3. I can’t have auto without aircon.

I can see how on a long trip in varying conditions it might be nice just to set a temperature and let the car adjust itself to maintain that temperature, but that doesn’t describe my typical usage.

With a manual system, if I switch the car off with the the fan speed, temperature, air direction and aircon on/off at a particular setting, then that’s what I get when I get in the car again. Why should I have to reset some ‘clever’ system to give me what I want every single time I get into the car.

Who is supposed to be in charge, me or the fekkin car?!
1. Mine doesn't do that.
2. That's kind of the point of Auto, it's climate control after all.
3. Not really sure why you would want to.

Of course none of this really matters it can be overridden and set how you want and left that way, like I say mine retains any setting after ignition off, I always use the auto function and my wife doesn't, I always know when she has been in my car as nothing is as I left it hehe

Ok people - thoughts on this comp:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

It looks to have all the bits I’m after. It seems a bit lower price wise considering the options, I guess that’s down to mileage?

I have other options as well but thought I’d put this one on here to gauge any input!
Looks a very well specified car having the xenons, leather seats, 7 inch screen and beats. There's not many tan leather sabelts around that I've seen.
There are 4 things that put me off going to see it :

As mentioned - it’s black not blue.

Give it a wash before you list it!

Motorvogue are one of these companies that charge an admin fee £149 in this case.

The ad is as vague as most dealer ads are - the details are a bit light. I’m thinking it could be a PP car.
Motorvogue Kings Lynn had a Comp I wanted to look at when i was searching one out and never bothered returning half a dozen emails and a dozen phone calls so their sister franchise instead got a brand new order off me in Northampton.

That particular car should be a PP car as it has the carbon backs on the Sabelts and the Monza wheels. However the fact that they haven't washed it, the parcel shelf is just bung in the boot and also the fuel cap suggests to me that is hasn't been particularly well looked after, I would also want evidence that the LSD has had its first service if it does indeed have the PP. I would also balk at a £150 admin fee, just include it in the price of the car for fks sake!

So what put them off? I presume not that it was an Abarth but maybe the extras? Direct line wouldn't cover mine because it had performance pack
Weird that you guys are having issues, both were quite happy to quote for mine, I have the PP as well, it's just a factory option confused

Ok, so out today to get used to the car. The setting position is definitely different to what I’m used to.

Also, about an hour in, the car periodically made three quite loud “bong” sounds. It seemed to be coming from the dash. It did it every 10 mins or so. I expected to see a message on the screen or dash but nothing showed.
Could it be camera warnings from the nav even though it wasn’t being used?

Absolutely love it so far though.

Also, is there a way to check the options the car has?
A dealer can do a print out, fairly easy to work out though. Yours seems very well spec'd
Those bongs are probably the speed camera warnings, mine does the same and I have the 7" nav as well. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. Looks really smart in black
