Sadly regretting sale of sportwagon, the Golf gti is better screwed together but definately lacking in charisma.

Right then, let's try to find a sportwagon again.....

Malcolm, it was inevitable

Pies You bad man...

Good point Malcolm but I think the sportwagon was just that bit easier for pushchair and gubbins to load up.
Mind you, a saloon would leave the V6 option open.

Pies, the S2 I would have is Johnmacs smashing miami blue example in the classifieds. Now that is a corker, pampered too.

Shame it's a bit early for me.

Some truth in that Mustard.

Wife had a few issues with the alfa, I relented, sold it and bought her a golf gti turbo instead.

I prefer the Alfa though, yes, bits fell off and doesn't feel so well built, but it is supposed to be like that so, if the golf goes, I will be on the lookout for another one. The golf is in the classifieds to show my intent, now then.....Sportwagon twinspark or saloon v6....

Not enough hours in the day for me folks.

I only need 5 hours sleep...Good job with my kids, it's a bit of an interest really. As soon as I start wasting money I will keep hold of something.

Till then....

Damn good idea pwig. However as a rule I buy for what I sell the last one for, hence being able to chop and change.
I don't think a Sportwagon V6 would be in the same price range as a V reg git turbo...Unfortunately

I think the Golf has the alfa in the speed stakes, and possibly the handling. It has a turbo and beefed up suspension which in my view is too damned stiff.

It doesn't have the charisma of the Alfa though.

I know what you mean about MK3 golfs, I had a VR6, it was absolutely abysmal in the corners, like a blancmange. Pleased to say the MK4 turbo is a lot better.

I think the V6 is the way ahead, although the twinspark was pretty fizzy.

Always regretted selling the last one Malcolm...
