Trackday at Snetterton 26/05.06
Discussion
Hi all
thought you might like to see a few pics from the Snett trackday
it rained for most of the day which turned out to be somewhat of a blessing in disguise (it kept the brakes nice and cool!!
lol
it was supposed to be the day when i decide whether i keep Saucy (the 1.8) or go back to a V6
the decision was made...........................
we were lucky to get pitlane garages..........
here's another couple of the alfa lads going out for the first time ever
Saucy out on track
and here's a V6 making a swift overtaking maneuver on me in the pit straight (sure, right!!) - GP, got ya back!
the V6 on the straight
Andy in his GTA
and Pino in his HGT (jeez that thing could move!)
(con't in next post).............................

Saucy hitting 90/100 down the straight (between the exit of the chicane at the beginning of the straight to the sweeping right hander at the end i couldn't get much above 110 - but it was wet)
i must say the 1.8's handling makes for a good little track car (yes, in spite of the FWD) and so i'll be keeping her and taking her to the next stage of mods (interior out, seats/cage/fire Ext in)
the brakes were a poor show tho - in the wet i could get 7 laps out of her, in the dry i was pushing my luck with 5!!
it was a fantastic day tho, the kind that makes you want to talk about all day every day and get back out there for more
here's a little vid........................

because of the rain we virtually had the track to ourselves, the day started of with a room full of drivers but they all dropped out as the morning rain got worse; SUPERB!!
lol
can't wait to get out again (thinking an evening at Brands next month) but i must do something about my brakes first
hope you enjoyed the pics, vid and insight guys
