I've been looking for a good spider and managed to get to see this one before it sold.

1999 Alfa GTV Spider Lusso, full momo leather and power hood and lusso spec 16" alloys, very low miles and full Alfa history. It feels very solid and firmly planted on the road and I can't really feel this scuttle shake I've heard about, only when on a really really bumpy road and certainly not as bad as my old TVR and not as severe as being a wobble feeling like I have felt in other soft tops. Alfas are soooo beautiful too - even with the hood up!

This is a bit of a poor photo from the advert but I'll take a run out to somewhere nice and take some more whenever the weather is nice. It is a second fun car and is locked away in a de-humidified garage and I hope will never see any rain or road salt

thumbup nice and bold! What colour of leather is it?

Cheers Jamie thumbup

The colour in the photo is rather different to in the flesh, it's more of a golden pearly yellow. The leather is blue and not too dark, the hood is blue too. Inside feels lovely, great seats!

Thanks guys, yes I'm pleased to have found a goodun!

It's nice to know they are galvanised but I want to keep this one really pristine so I'll try and only use when the weather is dry and the roads aren't salty!

TS or the hairy chested version?

The TS but I'm still impressed with the pace and the raspy exhaust note!

I had a look through the history and the invoice says it cost £27,600 when new!

While you are looking through the history, it's best to check when the cambelt was last done. It wants doing every 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first, and without fail!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip, yes I did check on this before buying and it had been done about 6k mile ago.

It's also had new rear trailing arms, I hear the bushes are a bit prone to wear and it's easier to replace the whole lot than renew bushes. If they go again I'm going to fit the V6 poly bushes/arms. It also had the roof motor replaced by Alfa not so long ago. It's had everything sorted regardless of cost and I intend to keep that up.

Thanks guys for all the nice comments

I heard the weather was going to be really nice today and showers tonight so I brought the Spider into work and what happens within the first hour?

The heavens open!

Good job I didn't leave the roof down

The drive in was nice, the TS is really lively.
