I noticed that on the TVR Centre's demo car they've painted the diffuser in the same purple as the body. Looked so much better. They've also got TVR to dispense with some of the black vinyl around the vents if I remember correctly.

Sorry to say Nubbin but there was a dark blue one parked next to Flasher's at Silverstone on Sunday and that had body coloured air scoops on the nose - did have a black ar5e though! R...

I’ve just spoken to the TVR Centre, as they are my dealer. They did the painting off their own backs. It was not done by the factory. Apparently they have also colour coded some of the black bits. The Diffuser has also been cut down a bit so it sticks out the back about and inch or two less than normal. My diffuser needs resprying as it was scratched when installed at the factory and is being done under the warranty in the next week or two. Apparently to colour code the diffuser cost about £450 quid if you just come in off the street, lots of priming, rubbing down and “rubbery paint” to stop it chipping. I think I’ll probably leave mine black. I hope to be able to post a picture latter today.
Cheers,
Nick

Can the diffusor be removed without too much trouble? I would really like to see a Tamora without it to compare the looks. Since my driving is mainly on twisty roads and I rarely exceed 80 mph I'm starting to think about this possibility...Do you think it will affect the handling at those speeds too?
Cheers Andy

I had my car on a ramp when we visited Colin blower motorsport, and it's quite big - it extends under the car for 18" or so. It's bolted on. I'm sure you could remove it, but the heat shield/numberplate mount is bolted to it, so you'd have to take that off as well, and then maybe get the Nitromors out to remove the black paint from the exhaust, so it's back to it's shiny best stainless steel? Where would you put the numberplate?

The really silly thing about the black bits is that they are painted on over the body colour - how pointless is that?

I thought the lower part of the diffusor was removable by itself. From what you are saying everything that is black is in one piece? Bugger...seems like too much trouble then. Thanks for the input
