just about to take delivery of a 996 c2 which isnt far away from needing new tyres and brake pads, any suggestions as to what to buy, it will only be used weekends and the odd track day thrown in.

Having just replaced the pads and tyres I've gone for replacing with the same again.

I've just had Pirelli P Zerro Rosso (N4) fitted to replace the previous Pirellis. Try a forum search for threads on tyres. I have also had the brakes serviced at 9M who use Porsche parts. Again a forum search may give you some info.

Enjoy your new toy !
