As Per BBC News at 10 (BBC London News at end) just gone: In early July some roads in central London will be clossed for F1 Ferrari and Williams cars to drive around to promote the British Grand Prix.

Anyone have any info on this?

Whatever happens the cars are bound to get Gatso'd.

I'd have thought they'd go from Marble Arch to Hyde Park Corner and back.

I wish.

I had this idea the other day that, if Silverstone couldn't be sorted for the British GP, they could close off London Monaco-style. Imagine the Mall as a Start/Finish straight!

...but much appreciative of the sound of a thunderous V8.

And I couldn't think of anything else when logging in.

Came from a Classic Cars article, actually. Test of the Mustang from Bullit. The line was 'I keep looking for the sinister Coke-bottle silhouette of a black Dodge Charger, exhausts blaring V8 thunder and tires wailing'. Just couldn't get it out of my head.

Trust me, as soon as I'm out of this place and have some money, I'll get my hands on some Detroit iron, believe me.

London struggles to stand still for a bomb scare or impending disaster. What hope in hell is there of shuting down for a race weekend.None, the end.Theres more chance of Bin Laden holding a news conference outside number 10
