Last minute decision to maybe take my "tank" to Le Mans. Due to work can only get away on Friday evening or Saturday morning and have to be back before Monday.
How far is Le Mans from Calais and is it worth heading down for such a short time period.

Yes it is. I would cross on Friday night though as it is a fair drive to Le Mans, and you don't want to get stuck in traffic on the Sat and miss the start.

It's 400kms (250miles) from Calais to LM via Rouen and should take between 3 and 6 hours depending on traffic and recklessness. Not much fuel available outside office hours south of Rouen, so don't forget to top the tanks up on the Autoroute.
It's well worth it just for the weekend.
